Actually, I'd be perfectly happy to let either/both of these Canadians try their hands at running things over the next two years, simply as an experiment:
They're both aggressive... goal-oriented... and supremely successful in their chosen field of endeavor.
Bonus: neither one of them is Michael Steele. ;)

Run me for President ? But I’d actually want to cut government spending en masse, implement an irrevocable balanced budget amendment, close entire departments, privatize Social Security, end government involvement in healthcare & welfare at the federal level, revoke civil service and its army of leftist bureaucrats (replacing it with the old patronage system — your people come in with you and they leave when your term is up, rinse and repeat). No more gov’t pensions and goodies for these millionaire bloodsuckers. You serve the people, the people don’t serve you. And this all before I even get to the social issues... We’d be lucky to get a fraction of our current Republican officials to agree to any of this, and that’s being kind.

The lack of substance in your post is not going to improve the RNC. Only a discussion of the issues that matter, how to prioritize them, how to select a leader that can do that.

Gotta go to the state level and change the whole RNC. A few hundred votes at the state convention is all it takes to change an RNC committeeman.
Uber RINO Saul Anuzis was replaced by conservative Dave Agema as a committeeman from Michigan in the spring and it only took a few hundred votes to do it.

“Reince Priebus”?
Sortof hard to make Milkey Steele look good cause Mikey was horrible but still better than Priebus.

I have to admit: you make a compelling argument. ;)

I agree with you. I don't really like the guy, but when he was hired as RNC chairman a couple of years ago his job was really to clean up a huge financial mess that had been left by his predecessor. From what I've read, the RNC was tens of millions of dollar in debt a couple of years ago, and his top priority was to get all of that paid off.
I don't think he's a good "face" for the Republican Party, but he sounds like an effective business manager for that RNC role.

Steele was a RINO, but he got the job done in 2 years. Priebus had the same two years and dropped the ball. Unlike Steele, Priebus had no executive experience prior to becoming RNC chief. If Romney were really into public service instead of self-aggrandizement, he’d step into this thankless role and work to revive the fortunes of the GOP.

I agree with you. I don't really like the guy, but when he was hired as RNC chairman a couple of years ago his job was really to clean up a huge financial mess that had been left by his predecessor. That big financial mess resulted in the biggest GOP House majority in 100 years. Steele's financial management stank, but it's hard to fault his results.
