I agree. Look, smoking in a public community room is one thing. Agree or not, it’s at least debatable.
This is just plain loony. There’s no gray area here.
Not no, but hell no.

I’ve not read about it directly, but I’ve been told that political correctness was a strong active precursor to what took place in Germany. So watching it here is quite troubling to me.

They will justify a smoker’s tax as a means to increase life expectancy. These are the same Yahoos who will sit on Obamacare’s Death Panels.

Im not a smoker, but you guys can count me on your side on this one. All non socialists/communists should be on their side. There is at least one statist here at F.R. who is all for taxing smokers into oblivion.

Which Article of the Constitution can one base this assault on? It's the article right under the one that says it's ok to kill babies.

Here come the Health Nazi's with the power from Obamacare pretty soon you will need a "Smart Card" to buy Cigs or even a Cheeseburger.
They'll tie in the 'smart card' to disallow purchases after certain caloric limits are reached. Among other things.

Yeah, some people get caught up in the negative side of smoking and can’t see the forest for the trees.
I don’t support cigarette or liquor taxes.
Government needs to go on a diet.

Amen!
Still seems foreign to me that these issues are even debatable. Guess I was born in an era where the “norm” was driven by values and patriotism.
Hell, even democrats were tolerable when push came to shove.

Eff dat! The illegal druggies don’t have to, nor can they be required (in any place where such use is illegal—5th Amendment) to have a license or register.

The supreme court has stated that there is no constitutional right to use tobacco and so anti-smoking laws are fine. There’s a constitutional right to infanticide, but not to use tobacco.

You’ll need a smoker’s license with an ID card to buy cigerettes, but not an ID card
to vote!
