Santorum Organizing; Warren Buffet Supporting Hillary in 2016
Christian Post ^ | 11/15/2012 | Paul Stanley

Inside sources close to Rick Santorum are saying the former Pennsylvania senator and 2012 GOP contender is already organizing for a run in 2016. On the other side of the aisle, investor Warren Buffett is already touting his choice to succeed President Obama in the White House.

A leading evangelical leader who is close to Santorum and asked not to be identified, told The Christian Post on Wednesday that Santorum is "organizing and making all the necessary preparations" for another run in the 2016 Republican primary.

"Rick's getting ready organized and is not going to be behind the eight-ball when it comes to fundraising and building a grassroots organization," the anonymous source said. "I think you'll see and hear a lot from Rick in the next 12 months."

Santorum fought off a number of fellow conservatives that included Rep. Michele Bachmann (Minn.), former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and restaurant executive Herman Cain to be one of the last standing against Mitt Romney. Only Rep. Ron Paul (Texas) stayed in the race longer but he was never considered a major contender to win the nomination.

Soon after the election was over, Santorum and his team sent out an email to supporters hinting of another run and indicated that he and his wife Karen would be working to rebuild a party splintered by ideology and infighting about why minorities and young women are peeling away from the GOP platform.

"As a result of this election," Santorum wrote, "we now need to engage with even more energy and commitment not just in politics, but in our daily lives, to ensure that the values upon which our country has prospered will continue." And here is the kicker: "Karen and I look forward to working side by side with you to make that happen."

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) – considered one of the GOP's rising stars – wasted little time signaling his possible interest by making a trip to Iowa even before all the votes in Florida were counted. Vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan would certainly be mentioned as another possible contender for the White House.

But don't think it's only the GOP who spend time looking into a four-year crystal ball.

Mega Billionaire-investor Warren Buffett has already indicated the person he hopes replaces Obama at 1600 Pennsylvania and an easy hint is they have lived there before.

"I hope it's Hillary Clinton," Buffett, the fourth richest man in the world, told CNN on Wednesday. "I like what she believes in. I think she's extraordinarily able and energetic for that matter in pushing those beliefs. I don't see how you could have anybody better qualified." Speculation in Washington is that Clinton will soon vacate her position as Secretary of State, giving her more time to reacquaint herself with major Democratic donors and state party officials.

Clinton came in second to Obama in a rough-and-tumble primary in 2008.

RE: Paul Ryan in 2016!

He didn’t even win his own state.

RE: Allen West for Prez!

First things first. Let’s see him win his Congressional district in Florida this time. If he wins inspite of fraud, that would be a strong indicator that he’s a fighter who won’t take corruption.

You’d never have thought Warren Buffett had more money than sense. You’d never have thought it was even possible.

RE: So?

So that tells us right there that the people in his own state don’t like him.

If you can’t even win your own state, what makes you think you can win the other battlegrounds?

People vote for the top of the ticket. Romney-Ryan losing WI is not the same as Ryan losing WI.

I would have expected the choice of Ryan to have helped Romney.

Heck Ryan did not even win his own hometown of Janesville. He lost Janesville for BOTH the Congressional seat AND the VP slot.

I’d like first to see Ryan win as SENATOR of Wisconsin (Yes, THE ENTIRE STATE, not just his district ).

Then maybe we’ll talk about the Presidency later.

Romney-Ryan lost Janesville by 25 points. Ryan lost Janesville by 10 points.

It’s very sad to me when conservatives buy the media lies. Santorum NEVER said that. What he said was that he personally doesn’t use it because he is Catholic. He believes it is a personal choice. What he is opposed to is the government forcing people to pay for people like Sandra Fluke’s birth control.

Indeed. I’m on board. It didn’t take long for the Santorum haters to show up, did it?

Seems that every moron with a blog thinks they have an inside track on manipulating the next election using the same tired old tactics.

Romney lost by playing defense, Santorum says

CNN’s Gregory Wallace

“What Mitt Romney, in my opinion, didn’t do was go out and vigorously defend the beliefs that he said he espoused and didn’t go on the offense,” Santorum said in an interview to air Friday on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.” “And when you’re playing defense, which is what I believe the campaign was doing and Republicans were doing generally throughout the course of this campaign you’re not going to win.

“He didn’t make it about those two fundamentally different visions for America,” he said of Obama’s re-election campaign, “and I don’t think we did a very good job either as Republicans pointing out those fundamental differences and what type of freedom we’re talking about.”

Let’s vote for a FIGHTER, like Santorum, in the primaries next time. Romney, and the chickens, who voted for him in the primaries, played it too “safe,” and look what happened.

“Some loser telling women they should not be using birth control.”

Don’t believe everything LMSM tells you.

Also, please understand, the left calls everything birth control, including abortion-inducing drugs, which the HHS mandates that Catholic institutions cover in their “health” insurance.

Yes, but he was running against an incumbent, not in an open primary. It takes a miracle to beat an incumbent in the primaries.
