The death of a journalists 11-month-old son in Gaza on Wednesday has prompted a flood of poignant messages online -- and a media backlash -- when pictures of Jihad Misharawi, a BBC Arabic video editor, showed him carrying the body of his dead son.
Mishrawis son, Omar, was killed after Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip fell on his Gaza home, according to the BBC.
Omar is among 16 people killed in Gaza since Wednesday afternoon, including four children, according to Al Arabiya correspondents. Fighting began when Israels targeted killing of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jaabari on Wednesday. Since then, Palestinian fighters have fired around rockets over the border.
The death of Mishrawis son at first prompted anger from online commentators and news blogging sites over the BBCs alleged lack of, or minimal, reporting on the killing.
When BBC ignores Israeli murder of its own cameramans baby, what hope for other Palestinians? an article on The Electronic Intifada blogger/ activist-based website questioned, alleging that the broadcaster totally ignored the killings on its Wednesday night news bulletin.

They blow up so fast.
My Norton security gave this link site high security risk.
Thankfully the risk was blocked.
Don't expect them to be shown or discussed by the fifth-column MSM.
re: “Bovine Excrement!! Awesome example of media bias and re-working history to suit themselves/lie to the world. Over 200 rockets had been fired from Gaza BEFORE that jerk was killed. The terrorists in Gaza started it and they LOVE,LOVE,LOVE to hide behind children & in schools while they attack others.”
EXACTLY!! You got it right! There were a lot of German and Japanese children who died as well because the leadership of their countries started WW2.
Stop firing rockets indescrimiately into Israel, stop sending in children to blow themselves up to kill Israelis, stop trying to destroy Israel and then, THEN, you’ll have some peace. But, I guess that’s not really the point for these people is it?
I have zero sympathy for people who participate in, support, or condone the attacks against Israel.
Maybe this man's son was killed by the Israelis. Maybe not. Maybe he's not a Hamas supporter. Maybe he is.
The Israelis have not been firing indiscriminately, but on rocket storage areas and rocket launchers. If this man's son was killed by Israeli fire, it's likely to have been because Hamas scumbags store weapons and launchers near schools. Because that's the kind of abhorrent scum they are.
I think it was Golda Meir who said, “there will be no mideast peace until Arabs love their children more than they hate Jews”.
Hang with terrorists die with terrorists.
I cannot grieve with those life forms.
Their past actions using dolls, and/or stuffed rags to depict human child casualties of war they instigated against Jewish Civilians, Jewish children, and others around the World, and then staged dramatic photo events for the purpose of mocking the sensitivities of Christians for sympathetic gain have steeled my emotions.
EFF the Muslims, and the camels they rode in on.
Yes and perhaps he should turn the camera in on himself to get the real story...ISLAM-THE DEATH CULT!
Checking for grief.
Checking.
Nnhh.
Ummh.
Still checking.

Nope.
As a human being I empathize with this father, however this article is propoganda at its worst:
” Fighting began when Israels targeted killing of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jaabari on Wednesday.”
Absolute BS, complete lie... Israel attacked the military cheif after Hamas ONCE AGAIN broke its word about cease firing. The fighting didn’t start with the Hamas leader being killed... Hamas was already lobbing rockets at Israel when they decided they’d had enough and targeted this guy.
It is tragic the Palestinians allow themselves to be used as cannon fodder by the rest of the arab world. They think they are treated poorly by the Israelis... go back and see hwo the King of Jordan treated them.
Arabs don’t want the palestinians, but have no problem arming them and inciting them to violence as their proxies against Israel. Tragic and pathetic all at the same time.
...no problem hiding behind kids and women when lobbing missiles towards Israel. So take your backlash and stuff it...
I’m not impressed with that photo.
The child is supposed to be eleven months old. The package is roughly eighteen inches long. It doesn’t measurably extend beyond the body of the father on either end.
Birth lengths are roughly 18-22 inches. An eleven month old child would be larger than this.
Further, where’s the blood? This child has supposedly just been blown to bits by an Israeli attack. If it was killed, shouldn’t there be evidence on the wrapping?
Where’s the anger that an Arab group of men set up a rocket launch facility right next door to this man’s home, or the location where this child was killed?
Instead of crying now, why didn’t he demand that rocket launch facility be moved prior to the Israeli strike?
I just saw what was claimed to be the body of the Hamas leader killed yesterday by the Israelis. It was hoisted up on men’s shoulders. It looked like a guy sleeping.
I can guarantee you, there’s no way in hell, the guy killed in that vehicle yesterday is anything more than a vapor tail today.
In tact? Looking peaceful as if asleep? You’re kiddin me right?
When the tools to produce good propaganda were being handed out, the Palestinians were off busy throwing rocks at some group of God’s angels. Two guesses where they were when an ample supply of brains were being handed out.
Coulda had peace in 1948. Sixty-four years later and it still hasn’t dawned on them, that killing members of their enemy, will result in deaths on their own side.
Years of sending rockets into Israel, was the road to peace. Just darn those Israelis for causing this current mess.
Sad really... the Arabs continue to be sold out by those seeking power on their own side. How long must the Arabs on the West Bank and Gaza live like this, due to the damnable behavior of their leaders?
In perpetuity I guess... stupid doesn’t cure itself.
I mean, I can sympathize with the actual innocent Palestinians (if any exist)... but funny thing, if Hamas setup a mortar on the roof of the house next to me, it would be on fire within the hour. These citizens need to accept at least some responsibility for allowing this BS to operate in their communities.
There really can be peace, but the Palestinians have to want it first, and it appears they have no interest in it. Until then, all's fair in love and war.
So f’ing what, soon the shite is really going to hit the fan over there. Obama has set this up, they are now armed to the teeth and ready to rock and roll.
Maybe I can join the IDF and go over and help prepare for the battle of evermore.
How poignant and perfect this shot is! How wonderfully well-lit, with his buds all standing around him in perfect position, with perfect expressions.
I wonder how many takes they needed before they got everything right. I'm an aficionado of Moslem phoniness, and if a shot looks too good to be true, it is. They pose everything. Sometimes the dead person has to get up and move to a different position so the fotog or videographer can get a better angle. There are videos of them doing this.
I remember seeing a tragic still shot of an old Arab woman crying to Allah in front of the ruin of her poor little house where she had lived for 50 years, hit by an Israeli bomb. (Boo!) A few months later, she appeared crying to Allah in front of a different ruined house where she had lived for 50 years.
Heh. I will use my falafel in the shower tonight!!!
