For adman Donny Deutsch, there's really no difference between pushing a political party or a bag of potato chips: it's all about the branding. S.E. Cupp, in contrast, is a conservative with bedrock principles.
Seated next to each other on today's Morning Joe set during a discussion on GOP strategy going forward, a blow-up was clearly in the cards. And clash they did, with Cupp arguing that the GOP doesn't need to re-brand itself, but rather to "spend more time explaining why their policies work for everyone." Deutsch, repeatedly trying to cut Cupp off, exclaimed that she "couldn't be more wrong" and that her anti-re-branding argument was "absurd."

S.E. Cupp is an amazing species of conservative female. If they ever release a video of her at a gun range firing an AR10, I’d likely lose my mind.
I already told my wife that if she’d leave me for Matthew McConaughey, I’d leave her for S.E. Cupp.
In other words: purest political and intellectual kryptonite, to the would-be "supermen" of the GOP-e. ;)
Because Donny and ilk know what’s best for the Republican party, just like they know whats best for the country......
What’s sad is, a lot of Republican strategists agree with Donnie Douche, who of course, is soulless, and liberal, and wants the end of the republican party.
As Rush accurately points out, do you honestly believe the liberals want to “help” republicans with their image? To take voters away from their base?
“Me too” will never work as a political strategy.
I am leaving the GOP. Just need to figure out how to do it. The GOP sucks and amnesty is the final nail for me. It is between unaffiliated and independent for me. And the fact one of the people involved is a tea party guy Marco Rubio pisses me off more because we have a growing group of tea party backstabbers. Chris Cristie, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley and Scott Brown.
I just want to know where she got her glasses.
As a marketing professional, I agree the Republicans need a re-brand, but not like Deutsch believes. However, since I am used to getting paid for my services, I won’t go into details what they should do :-p

Romney lacked “fire in the belly.” I seriously doubt that he wanted to be President.
Tone of voice, pretty-boy smile, body language, choice of softball words, lack of follow-through on key issues such as the Benghazi Murders, etc., all indicated to me that he had better things to do with HIS precious time than to spend it running for President of the United States of America.
It is time for us to shun the typical RINO/GOP-Elite Campaigns Method of LOSE AT ALL COSTS.
“Whisper softly and then sit down” should be the motto of the Dole-McCain-Romney ‘Choose to lose’ Campaigns.
Re-Branding is not the issue, rejecting what does not work is the issue.
Since the RINOs are so comfortable with losing, I seriously doubt that they can hear us.
