2 Israeli Muslims from Jerusalem, now living in New York, claimed they won a $5 million lottery payout, with a ticket they bought in their fathers store.
They waited until shortly before the winning ticket of $5 million in a scratch-off lottery game would have been declared void.
Then, when two brothers from the Syracuse, New York, area came to claim the prize, they made an unusual request: They told state lottery officials that they would be happy to take home less than the full amount if they could avoid a press conference.
Officials immediately became suspicious, saying a security check had to be completed before the big payday. But the "security check" proved to be another name for an investigation that eventually led to the arrest of the brothers on Tuesday for theft and other charges. Authorities said the two brothers had deceived the real winner, a customer at the convenience store of their parents.

I guess it’s better than blowing people up.
“Israeli Muslim” sounds like an oxymoron.
About 20% of the Israeli population is Arab, most of which are of course Muslim.
They weren’t gambling. They had a sure thing they stole.
Notice what they did.
When the customer asks the clerk to check the ticket to see if it’s a winner, the clerk checks it and says “no winner.” But it is a winner.
That’s why I don’t go to stores run by middle easterners.
Nope, not really. However, a "Iranian Jew" *IS* an oxymoron, as well as "Mecha Jew", "Egyptian Jew", "Iraqian Jew", "Syrian Jew", and so on...
Never take the ticket back to the store, compare the numbers to be sure and go to the nearest regional lottery office!
But cheating isn't.
They Middle Easteners seem to be doing pretty well with Obama, the GRECIAN FORMULA occupant of the White House;...........doing well if you ignore the deaths of the troops in Afghanistan and State Department personnel in Libya.
“Nope, not really.”

I was being facetious.
I know that there are Muslims living in Israel, but the term “Israeli Muslim” still sounds strange, like “Mississippi Yankee”.
“Nope, not really. However, a “Iranian Jew” *IS* an oxymoron, as well as “Mecha Jew”, “Egyptian Jew”, “Iraqian Jew”, “Syrian Jew”, and so on... “
They used to not be oxymorons...I bought jewelry once from an Iranian Jew - of course he was now in the US.
Also, Iran keeps a token number of Jews, maybe 1000, for propaganda purposes.
There used to be a thriving Jewish community in Teheran up to the downfall of the Shah. The Shah’s military also maintained strong ties with the Israeli military.
For their scheme to have worked, the real winning customer had to have been a complete idiot to agree to pay the store a $1000 “handling fee”.
Fraud and scams are in vogue since Obama became President. His is the flagship, the granddaddy, the model, the epitome of fraudulencies. It’s “cool” to be a slickster, a swindler, a flim-flam artist and con. They’d better have fun with it now because on their deathbeds, they’ll be begging for forgiveness. More likely though, they’ll think they can cheat death but it’ll be a rude awakening when they know it’s too late and in the end they should realize that they were not professionals...they were assholes.
It's not gambling when you steal it from a gambler!
The correct term should have been “Israeli Arab”
