Believe me: This isn’t the first time our vaunted Senate Majority Leader has made baseless accusations with little or no evidence (via The Daily Caller):
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Wednesday he was “very comfortable” with the prospect of defending an open seat in his chamber should Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry be tapped for a Cabinet position, and slammed outgoing Republican Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown, who would likely run to replace Kerry.
“I saw during the campaign his plea for bipartisanship,” Reid said of Brown, who ran as a moderate and independent Republican willing to work across the aisle in his ultimately unsuccessful race against Elizabeth Warren. “That is a big joke.”
“He is a travesty. He is one of the most partisan people that ever served here,” Reid went on. “He could have saved Citizens United, he could have been the 60th vote on that and many other things.”
“So I don’t need a lecture from him on bipartisanship,” Reid concluded. “He should go look in a mirror.”
Where to begin? The truth is that in 2011 Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) was ranked the second most bipartisan Senator in Washington, and, according to the same Congressional Quarterly study, only voted with his party 54 percent of the time. That’s a pretty distinguished track record of bipartisanship -- especially at a time of increased polarization and gridlock inside the corridors of Congress. By contrast, of course, Senator Reid (so far) has voted with his party 94 percent of the time on 433 votes since the start of the 112th Congress -- and voted with his party 95 percent of the time on 689 votes during the 111th Congress, according to the Washington Post. In other words, who’s the real “partisan” lawmaker, again?
Reid, incidentally, is also the same partisan who stood on the floor of the Senate Chamber and maliciously accused Governor Mitt Romney of not paying any taxes for ten years, citing an anonymous and disgruntled former Bain Capital investor as “evidence.” He lied. Now, as Guy recently reported, he’s determined to pass filibuster “reform” in a concerted effort to limit GOP lawmakers from blocking legislation they disagree with (or want to amend) in the upper chamber -- a hypocritical and shameless political maneuver he explicitly warned about when Senate Democrats were the minority party. Sadly, it seems, the Majority Leader’s rank hypocrisy and blind partisanship is on full display these days…and becoming more and more noticeable.
Yes, I'm quite well acquainted with Massachusetts. Republicans are the scum of the earth there and every child grows up up cursing the GOP the way the Arabs hate the Jews.

Then the people of Mass did not have a choice in the difference between the candidates. Both Brown and the lady who won were liberal MAYBE by a different degree. If he had kept his principles (if he had any) then he had a shot at winning.
Wish Reid would have died in that auto wreck a few weeks ago. Sorry but it’s true.
That is just awful. I don’t one bit. Retirement is an option though.
Let that be a lesson to the ‘reach-across-the-aisle’ ilk of republicans.
Reid needs to be declared mentally incompetent to continue to hold office.
Reid a troll looking dog doo has the nerve to accuse someone else of being partisan.
Reid needs to take a long hard look in a mirror. If he is truthful with himself he will be horrified.

These libs know they can say whatever they want because the press will back them up. If we ever get a legitimate press corps with integrity the country will have a chance.
Reid is making money hand over fist being a US Senator.....but not from his salary/perks and earmarks (cackle).
His sons are lawyers and lobbyists——any entity that wants the Sen’s attention has to first pony up $300,000 (when last reported) to the sons.
Course, insider stock, investment and other business tips are also included in the deal.....for those who want a favor from Sen Harry....

Harry’s decrepit ears and hands are always open to “anyone” with the gelt.
Harry is a DIRTY MOBSTER.....a MEAN, UGLY, VILE, EVIL PERSON.

Harry’s magic underwear must be a little tight. Brown voted with the Dems 46% of the time. There is no such thing as a Republican here in MA (they are all RINOS at best). What will be Harry’s response when Lyin’ Lizzy votes 100% of the time with her party?

I saw this article yesterday so I sent Brown the below email.
Did you see Harry Reid’s comments on you Senator?? Are you still fool enough to believe that being “bipartisan” is a great and wondrous thing? You were the second most bipartisan senator. That means you were the senator second most likely to vote with the democrats. And they still call you an extremist. You moderates are such fools. So glad I left your office blank on my ballot last week! Good riddance to “bipartisans” (i.e. democrats) like you and Olympia Snowe and Richard Lugar.
Conservative republicans are republicans. Moderate republicans are democrats. The people need to know what they’re voting for and worthless moderates like you and Snowe and Collins and Lugar and Graham and Jeffords and Specter and Chafee just water down the republican caucus and lessen the resistance to the progressives and the socialists who have no love for liberty or limited constitutional government.
