TAMPA — Frederick W. Humphries II helped make the FBI's cases against a would-be bomber on the West Coast and a university student in Tampa.
But the investigation he is most certainly going to be remembered for is one that led to the downfall of CIA director and retired Gen. David Petraeus.
Humphries was revealed Wednesday night as the Tampa FBI agent who took the complaints from socialite Jill Kelley that started a cyberstalking investigation and uncovered Petraeus' affair with biographer Paula Broadwell.

"He and his wife have been social friends of Mr. and Mrs. Kelley for years," the attorney, Lawrence Berger said. "Apparently, she felt threatened and she went to him. He had no further involvement in the investigation."
Earlier this week, a report in the Wall Street Journal depicted the agent as "obsessed" with the case, once sending a shirtless picture of himself to Kelley, who often threw extravagant parties for military brass at her South Tampa mansion.
Berger confirmed that Humphries had, indeed, sent a shirtless photo of himself to Kelley several years ago — but said the picture was part of a series of jokes between the families.
In the photo, he said, Humphries appeared without a shirt standing between two firing-range dummies. It was not of a sexual nature, Berger said.

Berger, the general counsel for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, took issue with the way Humphries is being portrayed. He said he believes someone in the FBI is spreading false information about Humphries to embarrass him.
"I think there's a leaker in the bureau," Berger told the Tampa Bay Times. "Somebody has it in for my guy."

This is significant that Kelly was the Muslim go to girl socialite.
It also explains why such a high caliber FBI agent as Humphries was assigned to watch her.
This is a good check off, and it puts gravitas into why General Hall is being scrutinized for security breaches.

Why is it assumed that Broadwell is a
“bad guy”? She has documents?
Do those documents incriminate anyone? if so, who?
Was she working against the twin sisters? or with them?
I see a lot of fingers pointing to Broadwell, but not sure who determined that she was working for the administration—or not.

The twisted neck routine is totally strange. It just occurred to me, and maybe I’m crazy, but maybe they took turns - stood in for each other sometimes. They look almost alike except one seems to be fatter, or was in one photo. Maybe they figured the twisted neck thing would make it easier to for one to pretend to be the other.
No, the twisted neck is just a trick they learned to make it appear as if they are on intimate terms with the person they are being photographed with.

Think about her life. She and her sister attended a fund raising event for Marco Rubio for example, they both came and went quickly after having their photographs taken...without making a contribution. That photograph then becomes another for their growing collection. Jill (Gilberte Khawam) invites the local governor to a function with the King of Jordan and his wife. The governor declines. Was he one of the few who had woken up to her?

What boggles my mind is if Kelley was that close to Petraeus and his wife, WHY, when Kelley began receiving the "threatening" emails, would she not contact Petraeus first, before she went to her FBI friend? I also think it is highly unlikely that Kelley would not have known about Petraeus' affair with Broadwell.
Despite the disposition of Petraeus and Broadwell's relationship today (and even considering that they ended the sex when Petraeus said they did (July 2012), they remained on very friendly terms at least up to their public exposure, if not to this day. It doesn't make sense.

Hmmm... I haven't been following the Kelley end of Benghazi until I read the posts by you and BD. I just looked up a timeline to write this post, and found this factoid: Broadwell sent emails to Allen and several other generals FIRST. .
Weeks later, she sent emails to Kelley.

May 2012 — Anonymous emails, ultimately traced to Broadwell, were sent to Gen. John Allen, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, and several other generals warning them to stay away from Kelley, the Florida socialite. The emails came from the pseudonym "Kelleypatrol" and included notes on Allen's plans to see Kelley in Washington the following week. Concerned about how anyone else would know about his personal plans, Allen forwarded the emails to Kelley to see whether she was playing a prank on them. Other generals also forward to Kelley copies of emails they received.
Early June 2012 — Kelley begins receiving additional emails directly from various anonymous email accounts claiming she's up to no good. One email mentions Petraeus and an upcoming social event in Washington.

Seems that fact did creep through, several freepers commented on it, that Broadwell must have discovered the Kelly woman wasn't kosher, and may have tried to warn them. There was a sense that her e-mails to Kelly were in the same vein. But that's not the brief the MSM had, is it? The brief was to highlight an affair...
You've got quite a story there. Who are you going to tell? The Press in the US is a closed shop. Nowadays only Pravda prints the truth.
Why send the warnings to the generals anonymously? Isn’t that the red flag that caused them to worry Kelly had a stalker and her life was in danger.
