This is the wrong message for our future as a nation.

Bad bad move.

Illegal means just that!

Next, more will pour in..the borders should be closed first.

No worries, there’s plenty of jobs to go around. Equal protection for all, especially those who are more equal than others.

Pretty complete dossier on Grover Norquist at

http://www.newswithviews.com/Nelson/kelleigh152.htm which includes this quote from Carroll Quigley:

“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies.”

From the author’s bio at the bottom:

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she was a Goldwater girl with high school classmate, Hillary Rodham, in Park Ridge, Illinois.

That which you might find interesting is mostly in the links.

I’m not so sure Dems can’t offer some benefits–e.g. Obamacare–to immigrants in ways Republicans may balk at (with the contrast communicated to Latinos below the radar, through Spanish-language media, as happened this year). But let’s put the welfare state aside. Here in California Dems have proven themselves experts at ginning up other kinds of ethnic grievances that result in Latinos feeling “disrespected” by Republicans. There is, for example, the ongoing debate over bilingualism–a debate in which Univision and Spanish language radio, which would go broke if everyone spoke English, are reliable allies. It’s easy to see another “disrespecting” controversy over dual voting–should Mexican immigrants vote in their home country and exercise other perks of twin … see, if you even say “twin loyalties” you’ve created enough of an issue.

When the disrespect issue came up where I work I told the Hispanics, "I and other American Citizens are the ones being disrespected. We and our forefathers built this country into a place you wanted to come to. You and your forefathers turned your countries into cesspools where over half the people want to leave. It is for the American people to allow whom THEY please into THEIR county, just as it is for the citizens of other countries. You bypassed about thirty Spanish speaking countries, where you could have blended in with no problem, instead, you come to one of what, two English speaking countries in the Western Hemisphere and expect us to learn your language. YOU have disrespected US by coming here WITHOUT OUR permission using OUR streets, schools, hospitals... that WE built, then YOU have the NERVE to tell US we're wrong! Tell US were not treating YOU fairly!" I love to argue with them. They're so ignorant because they've been lied too, and have lied to themselves, for so long they don't know what to say. They know I'm right, and when I've asked them, "After what I've just told you, wouldn't you be pissed at people coming here illegally too?" They've said, "Yes."

Illegal immigrants have been convinced they have the moral high ground on this issue but they don't. We, and our progeny are being harmed by them. Our birthright is being destroyed by them. The overcrowding in the schools, hospitals going bankrupt, cities going bankrupt... most of this is due to illegal immigrants and their American born children.

No amnesty! If, this great country turns into a third world cesspool, it will be without my consent. No More Mr. Nice Guy.

If you think that 10 or 11 million illegals is a dilution, Think about this:

In the 60’s & 70’s, the number of illegals was pegged at 20 million. That number certainly has not gone down....more & more people have crossed illegally into this country and they have been breeding like rabbits.

There are more likely 50-60 million illegals here in America.

The dilution this authore refers to would be adding 1 illegal to every 5 people who belong here.

Like someone else said, in order to have a prayer of gaining a benefit from normalizing the 15-20 million illegals in this nation, not only will the GOP have to give up its position on law & order in our immigration policies.

It will have to give up its position on smaller government & fewer entitlements, also. How can we expect 20 million dirt poor illiterate new residents to vote GOP if the GOP stands against entitlements?

In other words, it will have to adapt the democrat domestic policy almost in whole.

The only reason I say almost is they would be able to keep their social conservative positions because hispanics are purportedly social conservatives.

But the GOPe is busy shedding those troublesome principles, as well, because the fiscal conservatives don't like them.

The party really has lost its way.
