It's mostly empty and green, just like his thoughts.

I thought it was unbuildable.
It'd be best to make it a park and allow OWS'ers to live there in their tents.

(Mostly OT, but) I doubt Obama will end up living in THAT location for long, if at all, post-White House. He’ll find something more palatial. (And by the way, I don’t blame him. Ex-Presidents need protection and a degree of seclusion.) A Hawaiian estate, perhaps, and another home in an urban area, but probably nicer than even this one in Chi-town.

so if 10000 people chipped in 10, it would make a wonderful HQ for Free Republic, an enormous cross, etc...

I'm not sure. This is in the article:
The owners of the lot purchased it in 2008 for $675,00 with plans to construct a 8,000-square-foot home there but never moved forward with it. The architectural drawings for that potential home are available, too.

An 8000 sq. ft. single story house would fit perfectly with a foot to spare on all sides.

A lot sized at 50 X 150? We could probably squeeze in a few single wide trailers as housing for poor unwed mothers.
