1653 amazing. Rich heritage. Now going back there would complete the circle.
Say ‘hi’ to my brother. He’s not from there but seems to like it somewhat. It’s one state that didn’t allow voter fraud because O lost there.
Let’s start a petition for that!
His father was born in 1623 at Isle of Wight,England, United Kingdom. He came to what is now Richmond, VA in 1642. I'm still looking for additional details.
If we keep our tax dollars they will fold. But that would require some solidarity and lots of brave souls. I don’t think people are that serious yet.
I’ve always thought that the voting priviledge should be for those that have skin in the game; paying taxes and not recipients. Voting started out for property owners.
If you're into genealogy that's the sort of loose thread that can get you past a brick wall in your research. People migrated in groups typically, too. You'll see some of the same surnames over and over as they migrate from one place to the next. Intermarriage was frequent, so you can try looking in already familiar places for seeming dead end maternal lines if you have them. Most do.
I’m waiting for the petition to strip citizenship if one posts on FreeRepublic.
This is going to get bad quickly.
sshhhhh. thats supposed to be a well-kept secret! :-)
Right, but I knew when he said WV, it was the western part of VA where WV is now. He did research on his ancestors, so I’m sure he well aware of VA/WV.
Such a mass migration would likely include far more than Southern folk I’m sure.......but it would also be suicidal even if it included tens of thousands........even if thousands were armed with AR-15’s and AK-47’s, they’d be wiped out by heavy arms, fully-auto arms, and likely tanks.
I’m an ardent 2nd Ammendment believer, but suicidal assaults would only serve the Marxists purposes.....and - be ...... suicidal.
The Revolutionary War, which my great x4 grandfather was in, wasn’t won with suicidal maneuvers, but some great tactics in addition to the passion for freedom.
If my reply struck you as pedantry so be it, but I’ve helped many confused people researching early Tennessee ancestry who did not realize that it was North Carolina prior to 1796 and had hit a wall.
County jurisdictions changing and new counties being formed blows a lot of minds, too. That’s why there are so many southern mountain towns called (Something) Courthouse, it was a new town started from scratch for the specific purpose of being a county seat, usually in the geographic center of the county for the convenience of the populace. It was state law in NC at least to do this.
Have you seen the border fence near Douglas, Arizona? The razor wire at the top leans INTO Arizona. No escaping into Mexico along those miles.
I’m sure the obama administration already has plans to facilitate a mass relocation to any one of their planned Agenda 21 population relocation centers. Most major universities are in the program.

I wonder how many senators and representatives have voiced their outrage over the massive fraud.
Spineless cowards
I don’t think Soldier Dad was confused about VA/WV. That’s what I was implying.
That doesn’t negate the info you posted that others who will read your post and gain some knowledge and/or a reminder of some forgotten knowledge. That was all good. And you might want to post more of that because I know I find it interesting.
Maybe you could start a ‘History/Geography Topic’ where we could learn and find some surprising or needed facts about our state or another state. And add a comment in the specific states who want to secede in 2012! They start out with a star!
Perhaps we should start another petition.....lol.
You think more than half the armed forces are going to allow where they come from to be torched by a man most of them don’t consider as commander in chief?
One item I’m confused on is that my first ancestor to arrive in the new world is said to have come here aboard the Hesperides in 1642. However, my search regarding this ship indicates it was built in 1884. I’m not finding any further information that indicates why this is in error.
Was he Thomas Pannell by any chance?
