I actually support secession at this point; however, I realize those petitions are useless plus I figure anyone signing something like that could end up finding themselves on the “no buy” list next time they fill out a 4473 and do a NICS check.

that's my take. same with the groups in the armed forces that will resist or protect the constitution or any type of "group" that wants my name.
Everybody needs to chill out and just start paying attention to the local landscape. Find out who is lib and who isn't. Cause if the SHTF in real terms then intel is the key to any resistance. A couple of books for some holiday reading might include

A new petition has been started on the self same site by Obama supports asking King Obama to deport everyone on the secession list!
That is the reason I won’t sign one of these petitions.
