Steele started his last term by saying this about Rush Limbaugh's show: "Yes, it's incendiary. Yes, it's ugly." He then proceeded to spend his time as RNC chair flogging his damn book instead of doing his job.
Steele became the RNC chair on January 30, 2009. The chart below is from HotAir.com. It shows Michael Steele's approval rating in a PPP poll from April, 2010:
Notice that 5% approval rating among blacks? That's what happens when Republicans try to play identity politics.
I thought he would be a good choice the first time around. I was wrong, and he does not deserve a second chance.
