They paid for an education not a job. Did the college guarantee them a job after graduation?

I don’t know of any college/university that “guarantees” a job, but many publish false and misleading job market stats as to what the graduate who chooses various programs can expect for job opportunities and pay scales when they graduate.

In other areas of product sales, some of the nonsense peddled by schools would be actionable as fraud. Especially the stats promulgated by law schools.

True, yet, the colleges explicitly or implicitly promise that the great new job will more than cover the cost of their education.
