Worse still, Ekdahl told Business Insider that the Romney campaign failed to provide poll-watching volunteers in his region — Jacksonville, Florida, a key Republican city in a major swing state — with proper credentials and accurate voter strike lists, rendering them unable to perform their duties even if the ORCA app had worked.
In interviews with Business Insider last week, sources close to the Romney campaign confirmed Ekdahl's account, and described a technological undertaking that failed at every level. According to several of these sources, ORCA was developed by a small, isolated tech team working under Romney's political team. These sources told Business Insider that the product was never properly beta-tested, and wasn't revealed to the rest of the campaign — including the digital team — until the week of the election.
Most people on the campaign "weren't that surprised" by ORCA's failure, said one Republican communications strategist close to the Romney campaign.

Every year someone says that ‘this wasn’t the election to...’ whatever.
Yes it was. They all were. Social/fiscal/whatever issues do not have better times. They are all important all the time.
And those who say they are fiscally con but socially mod/lib are indeed. But they are not ‘conservative’ when the chips are down. That’s easily demonstrated by their dem knack for categorization and (for lack of a better word) class warfare with their own supposed ‘party’. Eventually people have to stop lying to themselves and just be who and what their actions define them as. Whether they want to stay in their self-made political closet or not.
Again...If we cannot win on what we believe in then the country we love is no longer really ‘the country we love’. That’s just the hard reality and no amount of verbal gymnastics changes that.
All the more reason to NOT run opposed to the lib-tards unless you come to the dance armed with James Baker, or a James Baker protege as your escort. His “take no prisoners” approach is the only way these criminals can be dealt with!
I read that after the election there were lawyers and 4 jets ready to go contest the election all Romney had to do was give them the go ahead....instead he said shut it down, it’s over....
A man (or group) that refuses to fight, refuses to win. It’s that simple. And the GOP refuses to fight ALL THE TIME on the vast majority of the issues. Bohner/McConnel/Grahmm...cases in point. The defense rests.
I will disagree. If the social issues had not been raised, Romney would have had a shot of capturing enough women on fiscal concerns to have had a shot of winning. As it stands, there was no positive motion of women toward Romney than McCain...
That presupposes that women vote solely with their crotches.
If women did not vote for Romney, perhaps it’s a trust issue. In fact I would bet the farm on that. Sure the lib women DO vote vaginally. But conservative women do not. They value honesty. And the GOP/Romney as their records show beyond argument, is/are anything but.
So run more ‘election conservatives’ and get more women staying home? That’s not the answer. The answer is and always has been to give people something they WANT to vote for. The dems do that with liberal BS. It would work well for us.
Instead of trying to fear us into voting against the vorst ever gotta vote against him boogy man the dems are guarenteed throw up election after election.
You know - rush limbaughs words during the primary are comig back to haunt me when he said Romney was winning in areas Obama was going to win and that th cost of his wins were bad omen for later on.
I missed that one. Can you elaborate? I haZ a confused. Was he meaning that R’s methods would backfire in those areas oe something else?
Limbaugh and other said during the primaries that Rommney was spending crazy money but generating his votes from areas that were likely to go for Obama in the general at the expense of depressing the real conservative base votes in areas he would need later on.
A choice between family members and Republican political "experts" is seemingly a Hobson's Choice between "disaster" and "catastrophe".

Its still hard to believe that romney thought he could win by ignoring the tea party, ron paul, sarah palin, “leave me the F alone” crowd.
When i read these articles i get really angry at the opportunity missed because romney and Co. got in bed w Rove and the crew.
Lets not forget the folly of RNC rules 12 and 16, the removal of key delegate members from the rules committee, and the shenanigans of the “rules vote”.
At the convention, we had long-time participants just get up and leave in disgust.

We must not repeat that mistake.
I still cant believe romney thought denying the ron paul, tea party, palin, blue collar conservative, vote would get him to office.

Here in Connecticut, Linda McMahon ran for senator twice, and spent something like $70 million of her own money — and lost BOTH times.

Like it or not, the ladyparts contingent -does- vote based on certain anatomical features.
And Obama won ‘em to the tune of 70% or so.
They are here, and they are going to become increasingly important in the future. They see little in either conservatism in general or the Republican party in particular that they like.
Not that I’m happy about it. I’ll guess you’re not, either...

I remember the ‘64 election and my father’s negative opinion of George Romney and Nelson Rockerfeller. We were a very enthusiatic group of Goldwater supporters.
