Karl Rove and his super PAC vow to press on
Washington Post ^

Posted on 11/11/2012 5:58:16 PM PST by jackmercer

"Rove is pondering new missions for Crossroads to address weaknesses laid bare by the GOP’s back-to-back failures to win the White House and the fact that the party fell short when expected to win back the Senate."

"Where until now it battled only in general elections and against Democrats, Crossroads is considering whether to start picking sides in Republican primaries. The idea would be to boost the candidate it deems most electable and avoid nominating the kind of flawed and extreme ones who cost the party what should otherwise have been easy Senate wins in Florida, Missouri and Indiana."

"That, however, could put Crossroads at odds with the tea party and other groups that devote their energies to promoting the most ideologically pure contenders."

"Crossroads also is likely to invest more deeply in organizations such as the Republican State Leadership Committee, which has been trying to build a more appealing GOP farm team by, among other things, recruiting Hispanic candidates to run for state-level office.".....

Only one problem, they have to win the votes. So far the people have been nominating the folks they want. Good luck KR you will need it.

Yes. I am still wondering about Bush’s decision to leave Barksdale and fly over the Katrina area on his easy back to Washington. That kind of dumb decision has Rove written all over it.

Rove is a classic example of a one-hit wonder.

If Karl Rove succeeds in foisting another liberal Republican on the party, its time to start planning the next defeat.

He’s a pistol, that’s for sure...we’re proud of him. And Joe Wilson, not originally TEA party but is now, is still getting mileage from calling Obama a liar on live national TV.

From what I read, Akin was not the Tea Party candidate ...maybe you should get your story straight before spouting off. Romney was a crap candidate from the get go and his campaign reflected his crap-tastiness with the Bomb, Bomb Iran/Syria, an attack on the Cons and Libertarians, the no defense of Free Markets, the inability to project any viable policies to assist the economy. I can’t blame anyone for not being motivated by the Romney/GOP-e bunch.
It may be time to finish off the Republican Party, it’s taken on the smell of death!

Karl Rove is the Jesse Jackson of K Street. He needs to be run out of the people's government.

You should really polish up your reading comprehension before you “spout off.”

Akin was not really a tea party candidate, but sort of inherited that mantle afterwards - or sort of falsely claimed it. Thus, he became the anti establishment candidate, even though hes been in congress for a long time.

As for Romney being a good candidate, why don’t you quit spouting off and take a look at my signature line. We have no disagreement there.
