I think we see the problem right here. Someone asks an intelligent question and immediately “ conservatives” here go into the they all want freebies crap. I won’t speak for horny college girls or Blacks, but I work with a number of Hispanics and they are as a group the hardest working, most family oriented people I know. They work all week and then do other things on weekends to make a little extra. None of them are asking for a handout.
If I was Hispanic and listened to the people on this forum and the Limbaugh’s and Ingraham’s of the world I wouldn’t want anything to do with those who are portrayed as the voice of conservatism. RR got 37% of the Hispanic vote and GWB got 45%. Arizona, Texas, NM and FL. have large Hispanic populations and GOP governors so it is not and impossibly to win them over. Of course calling them names and insulting them is not a great way to proceed.
Bump
Pshaw, right.
Anyway, “hardworking” has nothing to do with it.
Especially when they send their “hard-earned money” whatever that is, to their country of origin to be circulated in that country and not this one.
Do they have any concept of the Constitution and our laws , culture and language, or do they abuse it? It’s one or the other.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 79% of Mexican illegals with children and 71% of all illegals with children receive some form of government assistance.
Second, yes you are right - they are hard working. I have said for years that there is something wrong with shipping back people who want to work while our own citizens sit on their collective butts and collect welfare. I think part of the problem is not explaining immigration policy correctly.
Open borders is Hispanic #1 issue. And the GOP governors in Hispanic-leaning states are soft on them.
And yes, many Hispanics play the welfare system, especially illegals.
My wife is from Mexico and is disgusted by the way Hispanics conduct themselves here.
I agree they are hard-working but they also don’t value education very much.
