Where to start ? Education ? Primary system ? Republican (non-)leadership. Message ? Media ? Electoral College ? Congressional co-operation / complete concession / hardnose stonewalling ?
We will win in the end, but the road just got longer. They are corrupt (Obie regime and media), and now emboldened so I expect them to make fatal errors that bring down the regime by 2014. They've already begun with Benghazi/Patreaus. And they know it.
The GOP took a shellacking in the Senate races. Weeks ago, they were expected to pick up around 5 seats and move to near parity with the Dems in the number of seats.
Instead, they lost — and several seats were thought to be the GOP’s pick ups just weeks ago.
Akin in MO, Allen in VA, Mourdock in IN — all three had mouth problems that helped in their losses.
==
Then there is the presidential race. For weeks, we heard from Barone, Rove, Morris, and some others that Romney was going to win by over 300 electoral votes. We heard several of the talkshow hosts saying ‘ignore the polls because they are wrong.’
Instead, most of the polls turned out to be more accurate that Barone, Rove, Morris, and the ‘conservative’ talkshow hosts.

Now, we have had 4 days of finger pointing. Voter fraud, the message, the messenger, Hurricane Sandy, etc.
The next big question for the GOP: Whose turn is it for 2016?
Krauthhammer says it has to be a younger face with an Hispanic background, as he follows up with, someone like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio.
Sorry Charlie, but Jeb Bush is not a new face and the Bush name has tainted GOP politics for decades. Obama was still running against Bush in this election and the exit polls showed that many blame Bush, not Obama, for the economic situation.
Names for 2016 are already being thrown around. If the GOP cannot field a better list of contenders than they did for the 2012 GOP primaries, they are going to lose again in 2016.
On a positive note, I am over this whining about the election and onto preparing for the worst. I am not getting out of stocks(one place to beat inflation), preparing for a fix-all shop by acquiring tools and learning repairing techniques, Starve the Beast 2.0, and a new idea on the prepper side, find a nearby retreat to access that is off the beaten path for worst case scenario.
I am proud of the US Constitution as it was written! No longer will I accept the desecration.
Special prayer for those in the hurricane damaged areas who have no chance to work on preparing for tomorrow because they have to work for survival today.
I agree, mountainfolk.
The media and democrats won because they used ethnic, racial, and sexual identity politics against us.
Remember when George Stephanopolis brought up the contraceptives question in the Republican debates earlier this year? That was an Axelrod-Jarret-Carville-Stephanopolis designed offensive against us to divide and conquer.
That was the first strike.
Then the media and dems in Congress used Sandra Fluke, so-called “college student” (and to this day, that is what many news outlets still call her). Rush called he a slut—IF she really needed that much birth control. The media took that and opened with it like it was end of the world.
Then Akin and Murdock went off about rape and that added a bucket of gasoline to that burning fire.
Republican’s War on Women.
It worked.
None of it would have suceeded at all if it wasn’t for a willing, eager media ready to trumpet each and every charge and to make a mountain out of Republican gaffes while ignoring regular gaffe-A-matics like Slow Joe Biden.
Propaganda at its best.
Agreed, but for one little thing.
Getting ANGRY doesn't do much but screw up your concentration and your aim. (Which for a Naval Aviator could mean you drive yourself right into the dirt.)
I do believe that I'll stay Fighting Mad instead.
(...although I'll probably get a bit medieval on the next media pimp/political "expert" starts up on this Tea Party / Conservatism Is Dead meme.)

.
Sheesh, this is maybe the second post I've actually made since the day of that damn fraud.

First topic: Petraeus and his extra-marital affair(s)
[Looks like things are getting back to ‘normal’ for Washington and the Media.]
Yup. I just mentioned the War on Women bull$hit.
The media won the election.
I've highlighted something you said. Voter fraud.
I think that might have made ALL the difference in certain key districts. We still control a lot of states, and this fraud needs a several state-level FBI type of investigations. Leave the feds out--let the Republican governors appoint special prosecuters, and really, really nail the cheaters. Keep it vigorous but low key until they have evidence.
Look for talk for the rest of the year about the House Republican needing to get in line with Obama about the fiscal cliff, sequestration, amnesty, debt ceiling etc. etc.
Good for you. Fortress Babylon is ready. Take my name—Alas Babylon. Ever read the book?
It is THE book to have for Preppers, and frankly started the whole thing.
andrea Mitchell already says “Petreus will back the administration’s view of Benghazi”...here goes the spin to cover Benghazi!
a couple questions...then quickly off the topic. NOTHING about Petreus going on with the Muslim video crap.
Now quick change of subjects to the fiscal cliff...nothing to see here, move along now.
Here we go with the Mandate on less spending..shumer..”Oh, we already did that.”
HUH??

Feinstein, a politician, says that the changing Benghazi narrative perpetrated by Obama, a politician, just before the election, which is political, was not politics.
==
Who are you going to believe? Feinstein and Obama or your lying ears?
Didn’t read it, but fortunately I grew up in a poor family where my father was frugal and resourceful so I’ve got a good start.
The sentiments of hundreds of us on this thread are likely shared by a good portion of the FR nation. And certainly another 47% of the country share some or all of our sentiments. Simply ignore NBC News. They're irrelevant.
I'll organize a thread "FR targets NBC News" or some such. Bump it, expose it.
Not to ignore step one, however. I'm hesitant to call it a "boycott", but a noticeable loss of numbers for NBC News will add up and be noticed. Cable and satellite companies certainly know who's watching what, when.
