We are not outnumbered
The American Thinker ^ | November 11, 2012 | Brian T. Carter

There are at least three options in how conservatives respond to the election results:............

Third, conservatives can focus on turning out voters more likely to vote for conservatives. The pre-election polls were correct. Therefore, shouldn't conservatives also trust numerous polls showing that a slight majority of Americans are pro-life (CNN, Gallup), that a large majority of Americans oppose ObamaCare (NYT/CBS, WaPo), that a large majority of Americans (including many Hispanics) oppose amnesty (CNN), and a plurality of Americans consider themselves conservative? These polls suggest that conservatives are not outnumbered.

Newt Gingrich was successful in nationalizing house races in 1994 because he took a list of conservative issues that polled well and emphasized them in the Contract with America. That was simple and worked well. Assuming that conservatives are not willing to give up or surrender their beliefs, which seems more likely to yield success: converting liberal "drones," or convincing non-voting conservatives to vote?

Perhaps the question is debatable, but why don't they vote?

The following are only anecdotal evidence, but there is every reason to believe that these examples apply more broadly.

As a contractor working in Afghanistan, everybody in my office has a vested personal interest in avoiding defense cuts. Yet of the five people in my office, I am the only person who voted. Why?............................

If citizens either fail to grasp the seriousness of the situation or don't believe that voting has an impact, obviously those citizens won't make the effort to vote. Still, surely, reaching these potential votes is far easier than reaching liberal drones.

Conservatives are not outnumbered, although America might be close to the tipping point. The liberal societal sponge vision did not win on the philosophical battlefield, even while the liberals won the election.

The poll on the LA Times one has a highly ambiguous question in it, with Boolean choices: “Does the Republican Party need to alter course?” which is like answering in a Boolean fashion to the question “Do you want coffee or tea?” The direction in which the GOP should “alter course” is not suggested.

........The direction in which the GOP should “alter course” is not suggested.

The article "suggests" it. The writer sees CA circling the drain much faster now. Of course his suggestion is "slanted" and "spun" but the point I found most compelling is that it reeks of fear for what lies ahead for the "golden" state without fiscal sanity.

Right now the “golden” state is about as golden as iron pyrite. And if they keep diverting the water away from the irrigation channels for the farms, not even the famed fruits and nuts will grow. They’re like Pandoras with little gift boxes with nice bows on top, even with the note that says “Do not open till judgment day” . . .

I don't care what the polls say. Sarah Palin would have done better than Romney. Even Newt would have. They would have fired up the conservative base so big, even all the voter fraud would have been overrun.

The MSM and popular culture have muddied the understanding of huge numbers of Americans (programed by union teachers) about what conservatism and our Constitution means to their freedom.

Too many voters just don't know who to vote for and stay home thinking those who go to the polls know the issues and will correctly choose who is best to govern.

The Left doesn't allow their conveniently bunched up, dumbed down inner city populations to sit out elections -- they are driven [by any and all means - be it fear, envy, hate, greed, racism..] to the voting booth.

Doubtfull. 0m0slem couldn't even fill a concert venue in Oiho with Sprigsteen. Mitt was full blown overflow stadium crowds.

We voted enmasse!

They cheated beyond overlookable levels!

My question is who WHO will step up to the plate and grab the flag of VOTER FRAUD and run with it. 4 states decided this election, SOROS nad his money and army did what they said they would do. We need to burn up the lines in DC and demand an investigation

Here in Michigan we still have a huge majority from top to bottom in state government. We didn’t lose a single US house seat and even flipped McCotter’s former district to a tea party backed candidate.

We also crushed two union constitutional amendments and a constitutional amendment that would have required us to use 25% green energy by 2025.

After reading the articles you linked to, it reinforces my belief that the Tea Party should unlink itself from the Republican party and become it’s on political party.

We have no hope in relying on the GOP to represent those who put them into office any longer. They have proven total incompetency to mirror conservatism or the middle class.

Every time I see the video of the “crazed bitch” (Nancy Pelosi) telling the Republicans that they have to vote and approve a bill before they will know what’s in it was bad. However when the Republicans actually approved one of the most disastrous bills ever conceived, it was apparent that the Republican party was over. How incompetent can anything be?

Once again, my favorite mantra applies...”Republicans, the go along to get along party.”

In this day and age of instant communication via internet, I encourage all who read this (along with all who they know) to start the process of forming a new national party (such as the Tea Party) that will run it’s own candidates from the local, state and national levels.

We only have four more years before the United States, as founded, will simply rot to the point of absolute communism.

The voter fraud needs to be caught-prosecuted & stopped.

It has grown over the last 6 presidential elections and it will only get worse in future elections.

There are too many complaints this time around to ignore them.

I would think the Republicans would like to see this fraud stopped, but every night, the media tells us “there was no voter fraud”.

We know better, but we don’t put a stop to it.

Until voter fraud is stopped, we won’t win a thing.

"who will step up"

The short answer: no one. Because the vote totals represented almost exactly what the polls predicted. Give it up.

This is an important question and cannot be misread: there is a major difference between answering poll questions about issues, which do seem to favor us, and actually voting for people or parties based on those positions. It's the story we hear very cycle about the blacks who are "leaving" the Dems because of homosexual marriage, gun rights, or whatever.

I think we need to face the fact that the ELECTION polls are right and these attitude polls, while they may be accurate, are extremely limited in their relationship to voting.

It was unfortunate that Romney conceded (the vote) when he did. Almost as though he didn’t want it bad enough.

L.S. We have a employee, he works part time for us and part time for U.P.S..

If you polled him or just listened to everyday gripes and concerns, he appears to be a conservative.

Wednesday, discussing the election, he said, "When I got in the booth I realized I don't like any of the politicians, so I voted for my family, I voted straight dem because the union guys convinced me they would give me more then the republicans"

I not only left the room, hell I left the building before I exploded.

This is what we face.

Mitt Romney and his team operate in the universe of reality that WAS, not in the universe of reality that might have included major voter fraud sufficient to deny him all of the important states even if he won them. That is why they conceded. When state after state that you MUST have shows vote counting totals that deny you those states, in the former universe of reality, YOU CONCEDE.

I don’t think they conceive of an evil so great that would have fraudulently and with malice aforethought denied them several states they had actually won.

I totally disagree with the conclusion that Mitt Romney did not want to win. The man was over the top with desire to win. And his turnout at rally supporters were equally over the top with it. I also read that his wife broke down weeping over the results, as she also wanted him to win so very badly.

CA is gone to the GOP and conservatives. I would leave if I lived there and had the ability to leave.

As to the Tea Party, I as one of their huge supporters will say without equivocation that when a tea party candidate crashes and burns due to stupid, pointless words out of his own mouth, we need to admit to it. It does no good to pretend that Mourdock and Akin were fine but the E didn’t like them. I realize Mourdock was shafted by Lugar and Lugar people, but Mourdock said something even more stupid than what Akin said. And that is ON HIM. Our people must take responsibility instead of deflecting it, even as we demand it of the Left and the GO E.

When I heard that Mourdock said if a pregnancy results from a rape, then God must have willed the pregnancy, I was dumbfounded and angry that he had just thrown away any chance we ever had to hold that seat.

And I don’t care who attacks ME, for saying this, and tries to pretend that the only reason Mourdock lost is because of the GOP E. I also said Akin’s remarks were incredibly stupid. I realize the TP side wants to believe that the E should support all TP candidates no matter what. That isn’t in the cards and is really ridiculous when you objectively look at it. It DOES matter what you say. If you cannot talk about the pro life position without making stupid, inflammatory, false comments, then do not run.

And that is true if you are a TP candidate or just a regular GOP candidate.

We are outnumbered and the country is dead. The forefather's dream of a land of liberty died Tuesday night. No politician is coming to save us. The Democratic base, secure on the freebies it receives from government, will only grow bigger. The Republicans who sat home to teach us all a lesson will soon learn that the joke is on them.

The election came down to two messages: I can put you back to work and you don't have to work. The second message won.

Now, we have no choice but to rebuild. As for me and my house...we will begin in the local church. I will let Revival start with me and burn outward to my church, my city, my county and my state.

I will no longer look toward Washington or Republicans or Democrats for anything. They only know how to steal what God has given.

For all those who want to stay in the system and fight, I wish you all best. But I would suggest that you leave this soon to be wasteland and look for a city whose builder and maker is God. A land of liberty in Christ Jesus. A land that flows with milk and honey.

I agree that election fraud should not be dismissed. There are too many things that do not add up, to me. Those who say that polls were exactly right, therefore there was no fraud, cannot make that case. It’s just a buzzword phrase that sounds good. A “good” election fraud plan could easily steal enough states to win an overwhelming electoral vote win while the popular vote remained almost equally divided, and could well do so within the margin of most polls in a close race.

Careful with that axe, please. I only said it was “almost as though...”.
