The poll on the LA Times one has a highly ambiguous question in it, with Boolean choices: “Does the Republican Party need to alter course?” which is like answering in a Boolean fashion to the question “Do you want coffee or tea?” The direction in which the GOP should “alter course” is not suggested.
The article "suggests" it. The writer sees CA circling the drain much faster now. Of course his suggestion is "slanted" and "spun" but the point I found most compelling is that it reeks of fear for what lies ahead for the "golden" state without fiscal sanity.
