You know, I can explain it so that elementary students understand it just fine... even including supply and demand and the point of diminishing returns. But liberals? I'd rather just beat my head against a brick wall - it's easier and less painful.
I saw last night that the huffingtonpost wants people to report anyone who tells their employees they will be losing their job because of Obama winning office again or Obamacare. They are looking to be able to cause legal problems for those companies if they can.
I thought McDonals got a waiver?
A new Frisch’s restaurant opened nearby, hiring signs touting the benefits.... Reality is the kids they are hiring are getting about 10 hours a week, couple of 4 to 5 hour shifts. They keep hiring more while not increasing anyone’s hours. The administration has made noises it will go after companies that cut back on employee’s hours to avoid Obamacare - so wise companies are simply hiring more part-time workers and ensuring no one will be even close to the 30 hour trigger. My 19 year old son got a job there for a while, fortunately he found another job close by with closer to 40 hours/week, at least through the beginning of the year. He’s learning that in today’s economy a kid has to juggle multiple jobs if they want to survive, best to get an education and ultimately open your own business (without other employees until the Government changes).
Meat and eggs come from the grocery store... milk is born in bottles...
Very true, but they will never stop trying
I know how to do that
So
Even support for the liberals on the Huffing and Puffington seems remarkably lukewarm. There’s no passion. I think they are watching the SHTF too.
Tomorrow at Applebees they will be offering a free meal to all Veterans. Bring in your DD214 to prove your veteran status.
I worked for Zane Tankel in a different industry and I can tell you I never worked for a better boss who knows how to take care of his people.
Just a few things like having an apple tree or an orange tree and a minimal garden can do a lot. A fee chickens if you are allowed can also do wonders.
Having neighbors doing similar and trading with each other would be awesome.
Starve the beast
I like your attitude. Like my brother always says: “The dogs barked and the caravans rolled on.” These liberals have no clue what they have done to themselves but they will soon.
I have a 2000 sf garden.
wierd year with the dry spell, but had probably 80 pounds of taters, 30 onion and 30+ carrots (still digging them)
freezer full of meat, canned anf frozen veggies.
Aside from milk and bread and beer, I can go awhile
Good job!!
It is so typical for the left that they make the unreasonable demand that others continue to labor for them even if it means working at a loss.
They do not seem to understand that companies will be laying off more and more people as no one will have the purchasing power to keep them in business on top of all the new taxes and costs having to do with healthcare and the greed of their never ending demands.
Welcome to reality. She’s finally come calling.
From EPA to OSHA to trial lawyers to health care - there are hundreds of reasons for companies to minimize workers, or to simply manufacture their products elsewhere. At the same time, we have the Gov't and its hand-outs encouraging tens of millions of low-skilled workers to stay out of the work force.
10% unemployment is a permanent feature in France and it will be so here in the USA as well.
I had an apple tree where I grew up and it never produced any non-wormy apples until one year Dad got disgusted and said let’s spray that puppy. Which I did, using an Ortho powder mixed with soap to make it emulsify well, through a garden hose sprayer and with myself covered with dry cleaner plastic against the copious drippage and bounce back. I must have looked strange. But the apples were far better that fall. Better living through chemistry.
Those were two good ones that other people posted on twitchy
Getting ready for my 8 hour nap overnight.
