Glad to see the Romney campaign had a crack management staffer on this. Too bad ORCA wasn't run so competently.

I would think that this was required by law.

The polls were closed, the campaign was over, so spending campaign funds must stop by law. Sorry that some staffers had to pay their own way home.

I would think that this was required by law.Yeah, but the "Romney campaign staff continue to spend funds and credit cards in violation of law" story didn't quite pan out so they had to go with this one.
And I'm sure Obama cut off funds to his campaign staff as well. But this story isn't about Obama. It's about Romney. Specifically, Romney firing people, leaving them destitute.

Nothing much wrong with this.
But many conservative are very eager to jump on their leaders for any whiff of negativity.
The MSM will be eager to comply with their wishes to swallow any koolaid offered.

They should not pay the IT staff after the ORCA debacle, but maybe they were already paid off by 0bama?

If it’s the staff in charge of orca. Well, good.
Plus I believe it’s the law.

My point stands - they obviously had it planned out to get this done promptly and effectively, and executed it - but their management of the ORCA GOTV system was a disaster.
GOTV is a lot more important.
BTW, as a conservative, I sure as heck don't view the folks running the Romney campaign as anything remotely resembling my leaders.

It’d quite possible that campaign accounts were scheduled to stop at Midnight, Nov 7.

If true, it is unconscionable. Mitt has enough money and it is at least customary to wait until the next day before cancelling cards so people can get home and check out of their hotels.
However, I suspect that it wasn’t Mitt but some junior staffer to did this without approval and without thinking.

There is a period to allow dismantling. The next morning would have been allowed.
