200+ years ago, Alexander Hamilton, one of the Framers of the Constitution, got caught up in a similar misdeed.

He, being a man of honor like the General, fessed up totally and refrained from further seeking of public office even though the sure betting at the time was that he would eventually be elected to the presidency.

Many men with great minds, great talents and honest patriotic interests sometimes allow their libido to rule.

It is part of the human condition. That is not an excuse or a reason to ignore the act. It is just a fact.

We are all tempted to sin and it happens.

I sincerely thank the General for his 4 decades of outstanding service, and wish him the best in his marriage, but it is time for him to go away.
