Lt. Gen. Mark P. Hertling, the now-former commander of U.S. Army Europe, quietly departed Germany last week and retired days later at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Lt. Gen. Hertlings decision to retire was a matter of personal choice... "The command didnt alert the press to, nor issue a news release on its website, where Hertlings official biography now says he was USAREUR commander from March 25, 2011, through Sunday.

I wonder who's next?
Tune in tomorrow for the next episode of "Rohm on the Potomac"
Wow. My (late) FIL was in school there when DH was born.
This is really unsettling. Can you say Mugabe?
Will any of them speak up or speak out? Do they risk their pensions if they do? Will it help the country if they do? Who will follow this one?
Shsssh....it’s “personal”!
From a poster on S&S:
“Tospeakthetruth
What I heard was that he tried to save the Schweinfurt and Bamberg communities from closure and also the 170th Armor Brigade in Baumholder and 172nd Brigade in Grafenwoehr from disbanding. But the obama administration and panetta didn’t want to hear it. From what I was told, he tried to convince the administration that there should be more of a foot print in USAREUR and that removing those two brigades would have a adverse effect on our relations in Europe with NATO and also national security implications.
So he was told it was time to retire. Which is consistant with the current administrations theme regarding general officers who don’t share their strategic views. Remember General’s McKernian, who was also a USAREUR Commander, McCrystal, and it appears of late, General Ham. Were all relieved and sent packing by the obama administration. Appears president obama and his advisors know more about warefighting and maintaining allied relations in Europe than all those generals do.”
The General who oversaw our base in Sicily - the one with the special forces assets - on September 11, 2012 just up and “retires”?
I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
Not a purge. Not a coup. Not a Marxist takeover.
Right now, my loyalty is more with Poland than the US.
Thank you Dfwgator. I’m going to refrain from saying anything other than I trust our loyal Polish friends a lot more than I trust many here in the U.S.
Obama is building his “compliant” military. I used to wonder if I were paranoid but not anymore. O is coming after people like me.
I voted for Romney mostly because I feared the ramifications for Poland and Israel if Obama won again.
The State Department now is really going to do a full court press on Poland to accept Sodomites.
The list just gets longer and longer....this is NOT a good thing at all
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. What Obama
wasn’t able to implement in the last four years are
his top priorities right now.
It is starting to sound a bit like the Turkish PM Erdogan’s government; he just put dissenting secular generals in jail.
Post/thread BUMP!

Any problems the Europeans have can be fixed with a speech by the One.
Interesting how Obozo KNEW he was going to be re-elected then....
Add Soros to that mix...New World Order...a former Nazi’s dream.
