In the agenda, he predicted the total destruction of the coal industry by as early as 2030. He said conditions for his business would deteriorate because of more regulation and taxes, weaker economic activity and reduced energy pricing.
In the prayer, Murray wrote, in part:
The American people have made their choice. They have decided that America must change its course, away from the principals of our Founders. And, away from the idea of individual freedom and individual responsibility. Away from capitalism, economic responsibility, and personal acceptance.
He concluded by asking God for forgiveness for the layoff decisions.
Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corporation for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build. We ask for your guidance in this drastic time with the drastic decisions that will be made to have any hope of our survival as an American business enterprise.

Virginia Power will be laying off soon as well.
Headline reads 150 workers fired.
Were they fired or laid off? I think there is a difference.
But then again I would not expect the lib press to know that.

Maybe I should add a date column?
Hawker-Beechcraft, Bartikowsky Jewlers, now this.
The small businesses are dropping like flies. And the election was only a few days ago.
But everything is really okay, according to the gleeful info babes on tv. Yep - they get to tear their children’s body apart from limb to limb and throw it away legally...what more could a modern womyn want? That’s FREEDOM girls!
Kroger and Darden have announced they will cut workers hours to 28 to keep from paying the ObamaCare tax. I’m retired ATT and my insurance will go up $300 a month in January. Time to go back to work, .......but where?
WTOV said:
102 people are being laid off at Murray’s Utah Energy Incorporated, in Utah.
54 are from Murray’s American Coal Company, which has holdings in Illinois and Ohio.
Seven are from the Kanawha Transportation Center in Wheeling.
FedEx has announced voluntary early retirement offers for somewhere between 20 - 30,000 employees. It was announced about a month back, but the offers will hit between now and June 1.

I will close my doors June first. I DID build it and Hussein did kill it.
Crouse Hinds hospital Syracuse NY announces 70 layoffs after 25 earlier this year.

A lot of them did not. My wife’s nephew is a miner in Sandy UT where they laid off 102. He wasn’t laid off but is worried as hell. He and the other miners there voted for Romney and told the mine workers union to stuff it.
As for the OH miners, could’nt tell you.
What I do believe is that when the coal miners really start getting laid off and the power grid goes to crap that the miners will be united in going after (physically and figuratively) the mine union bosses.
