For Republicans unhappy with Tuesday's election, we have good newsat least most of you don't live in California. Not only did Democrats there win voter approval to raise the top tax rate to 13.3%, but they also received a huge surprisea legislative supermajority. Look out below.

Your post is spot on.
Throughout my lifetime, California was always a leader in cultural trends.
Hot rods, music, films, space program, education, etc.
That’s still the case, but the trends are all negative now.
Illegals, high taxes, breakdown of the Judeo-Christian culture, welfare, etc.
But they are still an excellent predictor of what the rest of the US will see eventually.
I have 4 years left to go in Ca. then I’m gone!
The whole country will bail out CA. The Rat WH will ensure that happens, so there’s no escaping CA’s mistakes, even if you move to another state.
All these Rats hang together: take from fiscally-solvent (Rep.) states or print paper money and bail out the leftist states.
Just wait.
My state is screwed. There will be many, many cities going bankrupt. Businesses will continue to leave.
Every looter needs someone to loot. Oh well, who is John Galt.
Well gee, if that happens, where will they get the money to pay the union-thug government "workers" who steal elections?
If the cities and state go broke, won't it become a literal anarchy?
Have I mentioned how glad I am I just moved to Texas?
All they paid attention to is that the leftists were for unions. This elections is going to have very dire consequences.

“Did your state go for Obama?”
Not this time.
“What will you do when it goes Liberal if it hast already?”
It’s only a matter of time. I’ll survive and I don’t plan on dragging myself to another state.
“Talk about Obama and ‘class warfare,’ you are just like him!”
Well, I wasn’t talking about class warfare. Anyway, Me and Barack, two peas in a pod.
“So you are saying your brother, and sister conservatives from California whom have been fighting a losing battle against similar odds as the conservatives nationwide fought against this last national election arent welcomed in your neighborhood?”
If it was only the conservatives, it would probably be okay. Alas, that’s not going to happen. When the producers flee, the takers will follow. Galt’s Gulch is not a possibility.
“Thanks Pal. Will remember you.”
Good deal. I won’t remember any of this.
“A conservative from these places would probably fit the definition of a moderate here in the south.”
Amen.
Or even a liberal.
About 5 years ago the liberal sh!thole of Maryland passed a "millionaire tax" of an additional 5% income tax on people with taxable income in excess of $1 million. (on top of an existing 5% state rate) At the time of the passing of the law there were 3000 people in the Peoples' Democracy of Maryland who fit this criterion. They projected at least an additional $150 MILLION dollars plundered from these people to the benefit of the politicians over and above the $150,000,000 that was already being extorted. The comptroller of MD was quoted as saying "they'll grin and bear it." The liberal rag the Baltimore Sun was all in praise of the tax (ever met a newspaper editorial board that wasn't in favor of a tax?)
Cut to one year later: there were 1000 people filing in Md who met the supertax criterion. SO prior to passing the "millionaire supertax Maryland looted their richest citizens of $150,000,000, and the rapacious politicians in Annapolis thought to squeeze another $150,000,000 out of the same group. If you do the math you'll see that the government stole $150,000,000 from this group the year before the tax passed, but that revenue dropped to $100,000,000 the next year.
They lost $50,000,000 due to their stupidity and greed. Doubtless some people fell out of the group due to economic conditions, but the bulk simply moved to places like Delaware, Virginia and Florida to avoid the additional $50,000+ tax bite. The Md media didn't follow up too hard on the politicians who were responsible for this lesson in practical economics, so I don't know that the comptroller said about the loss of revenue.
