I do agree the country is gone. This whiner is a great example. I know the officials have let him down and don’t mean to understate his suffering. But saying staten island will never come back is a truly stupid thing to say.
The election is over and the people of NY and NJ who suffered and continue to suffer from the aftermath of Sandy are no longer needed for photo-ops. Nobody can make a big deal about recovery from Sandy. The Official Reality is that everything is OK, everything is being handled, no problems.
This became Official Reality for the election, Obama would not get elected if the MSM howled about Sandy like they howled about Katrina.

Though I will not donate money to the state of NY or any charitable organization that will put money in the state treasury, I would donate to any private or church organization that will relocate conservative families to red states.

The rebuilding of New Orleans moves at a glacial rate for the same reasons the rebuilding of the east coast cities will move at a glacial rate: politics, fraud, victim mentality, and how can a nation six-plus trillion in debt rebuild major cities? And just wait until someone wants to rebuild and starts dealing with the EPA.
Now they can turn Stanton Island into a giant wind/solar farm to get some power to the rest of the State.
