Scotland is voting to be independent of Britain. So why can't we have on our ballots for each state the right to vote for independence(secession)? Many of us in states voted for several amendments. Why can't we vote for independence? I LIKE IT! If hundreds of thousands of freepers would contact their State Rep & Sentator and really talk about this, the middle America (fly-over) could get along REALLY WELL without east and west coast.

When Texas joined the union, it kept the right to secede. I don’t think any other state has that right, but I could be wrong about that.
