Actress Ashley Judd's name is being thrown out as a Democratic challenger to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in 2014.
Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) listed her as a possibility.
"If you had an Ashley Judd-McConnell race, I think it would be as high profile a race as Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown," Yarmuth said in an interview with the Courier-Journal of Kentucky, referring to the Massachusetts Senate candidates.
Judd has been active in Democratic politics. She was a delegate at the Democratic National Committee and also taped campaign ads for President Obama.
McConnell has begun gearing up for his reelection bid. He has a war chest of about $7 million and also hired former Ron Paul aide Jesse Benton to run his campaign.
Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, Lt. Gov Jerry Abramson and Obama campaign fundraiser Matthew Barzun, have also been mentioned as possible Democratic challengers to McConnell.

Good idea. Get idiot Hollywood leftists to waste their money on senate campaigns they’re not at all likely to win.

Brilliant woman but she’s going to have a tough time riding the coattails of Obama.

Other than being married to a race driver, I know nothing about her, though I have seen images of her wearing a shirt saying “This is what a feminist looks like.” Not sure the point she is trying to make then or now. Seems someone who craves attention.

"Brilliant woman..." HA - This is the loudmouth wack job who flies all over the world in her leased jet to whine about global warming while her husband, racing driver Dario Franchitti creates a bigger carbon foot print in a week than most American counties.

She’s a twit. But politics is now dancing with the stars. And McConnell is a no chin, no backbone, wuss. If you really had to bet a paycheck that she couldn’t beat him, would you?

The real question is, who will the republicans run against McConnell?

McConnell is an unreliable OLD FART... Ms. Judd is a fruitcake ... So what the Republicans need to do is get McConnell to announce retirement at the end of his term... all the while groom a much younger but well qualified candidate to take his place.

Of course, you’re right. For a moment there I actually thought Kentucky voters could be trusted to make an intelligent selection between these two.

She was hot, before she was Roseanne Barr.
Oh, and by the way, I am aware I just exhibited the very behavior she is babbling about in that quote. Ha-ha!

I have a healthy disdain for Mitch, but she has little chance to get his seat in an election in KY.
