Yes, there are actually Democrats in Kentucky so eager to get rid of Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell that they would support putting Ashley Judd up as the Democratic Senator for Kentucky.
U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth, D-3rd District, said: If you had an Ashley Judd-McConnell race, I think it would be as high profile a race as Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown The money would pour in here as soon as she entered the race.
Former Auditor Crit Luallen said that Judd would be an attractive candidate. Some supporters of the idea say such a race could make for the premier race in the country.
Seriously.

Is Harry Reid married to Mitch McConnell?
They sure could be Harry sticks it to Mitch enough.
Mitch seems to like it.
Oh, please....
We’re talking Kentucky here.. not Minnesota.
She was very good in “Heat” but that was back in 1995. I don’t know her acting assignments after “Heat” but I know she is a loud mouth lib
Sad but true.
She’s a hard core pro abortion pro gay marriage pro free birth control liberal.
I have the perfect slogan for Ashley Judd..”Brains, who needs em”..just when you think our country isn’t far gone enough you hear stuff like this
Gee they’re still married after ten years. I guess that is a record in Hollywood, though.
Can we just vote for her boobs, or do we have to take the whole dumb package?
Kentucky is home to a sufficient number of idiots to vote her in. If she doesn’t run, the Lt Governor will run and take Mitch out.
KY is still ‘Happy Pappy’ territority.
I live in Kentucky. I suspect she would flop and Mitch would win easily, but who knows.
I live in Kentucky. You might be right about that. Mitch is one schrewed politician, but I think his time is nearing an end. Kentucky is bipolar politically. It votes GOP at the national level(except Louisville), but still votes old school Democrat largely at the state level. It’s as if they want welfare and guns at the same time.
You may love her, but trust me, she despises you.
She isn’t? I did not know that. I wonder why?
As if Washington wasn’t already enough of a circus.
“oh gawd
not another celebutard”
I heard an interview on the radio the other day with a gentleman who was speaking about how Obama generated so much support despite his dismal record. He said something disturbing but that may have some basis in fact. His point was that many people especially younger folks, valued hip, cool and celebrity affiliations in politicians more than leadership skills or ability.
I am afraid that we will see many more useless celebrity types running for office in the next decade or two. Tapping into the vapid pop culture support that is out there and growing.
Isn’t this the state that voted in Rand Paul 2 yrs ago?
I’m mean equating Ky with Mass and Minn is pretty much a stretch IMHO.
Rather bizarre given that she is a resident of Tennessee and was a delegate to the DNC from Williamson County this year.
Why not. They seem to let anyone in these days. The once prestigious body is now a joke.
My brother who passed away 2 yrs. ago was named ,,, Henry Clay Webster III
