Think outside the box. Attempting to rescue and restore what we once knew as the “United States of America” would be a Herculean task at minimum, rather like cleaning out the Augean Stables. The crap keeps building up faster than it can possibly be thrown out.
The more practical solution would be to declare the contiguous red states in the middle of the country, between the northeast corridor and the Left Coast, as a separate republic, much like the Confederacy seceded from the Union in 1860, but not for a narrow reason like retaining the right to determine whether citizens could own other human beings.
Amendment 10, the Bill of Rights, clearly states that all powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States, or to the people.
But what does the Constitution mean to these people anyway.
Right or wrong is not the issue, and whether it is even legal or illegal, is fast becoming a moot point. It has come down to whatever you can do and nobody tries to stop you.
Which will lead to loss of motivation, and production will be in shambles. There will be no reason to do well. Business will become as worthless as the government schools.
I wonder if there are enough Patriots left in the Military, that can do a little Saber rattling when the Communist President tries to go that direction. A Military Coup sure would signal America's reach Banana Republic status, but are we far of??
