We need a support group for this post-election period. I'm feeling a cross between a bad dream and like someone died....
Grief counseling?
Here’s the long term plan: Conservatives move to red States whenever there’s a choice. Two job offers? Take the red State job. Same with retirement. The best way for us to be happy is to move away from Democrats.
We don’t need a support group. We need to get prepped.
It’s understandable because real conservatives on some level understand the tumultuous events that Obama’s re-election will result in. Remember though, it is part of Gods plan. We cant pretend to think that our will is above His. Although we know this will be hard, we should be glad because we know who wins. We have to pray for Obama, and do what is right.
With Jesus, we understand that God is love, and the hurt comes from sin. Just prior to Obamas re-election we saw Hurricane Sandy pound the NE, the famine, and an earthquake, get the message? Obama represents everything that opposes God, and that along with the state of affairs of the world, is not a good sign. Many of us sense days of tribulation or End of Days as we know it. Look for the end of Israel, attacks on Catholics, poverty, sickness, deception, etc, but remember we are saved. If they don’t see it now, just wait. I suggest we pray, beg for forgiveness, and ask for everything we need from our real King, and He will give it to us with love.
We need to do a better job at evangelizing God’s love, than the “Global Warming” gods do at pretending that humanity is in control. Christians aren’t supposed to accept, we are supposed to love, like He loves us. Pray for Obama.
I feel like Clay Matthews just stuck his helmet in my gut.
No time for self indulgence. Now we need to concentrate on surviving.
Romney Praised Hezbollah's Healthcare System
You should feel a little better about the loss after those two
Exactly. We need a national leader now to help direct our efforts. Our own president if you will.
I’ll start. Obama cannot get re-elected again...: )
I feel better already...
I can take care of myself, thanks. It’s one of the benefits of being a conservative. Leave the group-hugs to the liberals.
I’m upset, too, but I’m not going to be like one of those weepy Democrats in 2004 that became so deranged over Bush’s victory that they flooded mental health wards.
Conservatives are, by definition, a strong, self-reliant, resilient bunch. We’ll get through this and so will you.
We need our churches to become the centers of a literal resistance. I ‘d be at church all the time if it involved battle planning.
The 5 Stages of Loss and Grief
1. Denial and Isolation
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance
This election reminds me of the above.
Each one of us are going through these stages - I have a combination of all of them (except #5!)
I hope we don’t ever get to #5
The Government is counting on us getting to #5
“Their” country can’t work (as they plan) until the “makers” get to #5
Don’t be a #5
Look at who’s up for reelection in the Senate in 2014...could b good for GOP if we play our cards right. Also those up for reelection in very very red states may not go along with Reid’s agenda. Seriously...go look..google it...would post link but not a great poster...especially on smartphone.
Somebody with PASSION and FIRE. Many of the conservatives are terrific, but we need somewith that can CONVINCE. I’m thinking like Rubio. Gov Walker would be great, but he’s quiet and reserved. Maybe I’m wrong.
This family is continuing to live its very fulfilled life, too. What I would like to see, however, is a better ground game by US, the conservatives. No more circular firing squad. For those who actively worked against Romney (and you know who you are), from now on, this conservative is ignoring you. Totally. You’ve done your damage. I’m sure you are happily posting on the liberal websites.
We survived the Carter years, the Clinton years. We’ll survive this.
I never felt good about his nomination, but I was disturbed at Gingrich and Perry attacking him as a “vulture capitalist,” just feeding the image that the Dems wanted.
My opinion of those two won’t be improved, ever.
How I feel about the loss? How should I feel when the difference is only the speed of the handbasket? American took the speedier choice.
Now, the GOP will be encouraged to move to the center and make deals with the Dems, and moving to the center always, always, always, having the government reach evern deeper into our ever shallower pockets.
I feel terrible about the loss. I would have felt less terrible about a victory.
I feel like drinking so much over the next 4 years that I’ll naturally transition to AA! I guess I’ll get to a support group quick enough.
