It worked for different ethnic blocks because they wanted to be Americans. Things are different now. They're not going to be assimilated. They will simply become another racialist constituency and we will slide further into Balkanization.

For years Frank Luntz claimed that any day now, there was going to be an emerging black conservatism because blacks "agreed with us" on the "social issues." No. They don't. Not enough to affect a vote that is entirely driven by racialist identity politics, regardless of how much they may disagree with specific issues. Frank hasn't made that claim since 2008. You should give up on it, too.
