“Wrong answer. The GOP is going to do badly until it develops courage, a fighting spirit, and conservative principles.”
Yes the failure to fight is the problem.
“Yes the failure to fight is the problem.”
Yes. If McConnell and Boehner had fought like dims we wouldn’t be in this position right now. Instead they tip toed through the tulips and let the kenyan run out the clock. We need a disciplined party that stays on message. Time to clean out the maverick RINOs and go on offense
Romney never fought until nearly the very end. I think the only candidate who started out fighting was Gingrich, and “conservatives” didn’t like him because he didn’t fit their mold.
I actually ended up liking Romney, but I could never understand why he really didn’t take the fight to Bambi, who was completely hopeless and a loser on his own and has now only been carried across the threshold by his leftist machine.
But, unless there’s a dramatic change and things go for Romney, when I wake up tomorrow I expect this country to be set on such a seriously bad path that I doubt we will meet again here in a year’s turning.
You can’t realistically expect a better mix of circumstances to create a GOP landslide, and look what happened instead. It isn’t about liberal or conservative, it isn’t about policy or record or any thinking reason. There are too many ignorant, media brainwashed drones out there. There is too great a double standard that allows Dems to break the law as they will and hems in the GOP for any little thing.
If Romney pulls it off, and does a good job, that might work change things for the good, but if he loses I think the only thing that will cause a widespread wake up will be for America to feel in full the consequences of this foolishness. It could be economic collapse, it could be war on American soil, it could be a nuclear terrorist strike, but it will hurt bad enough to break people out of their trance.
