A woman wearing an MIT t-shirt was barred from voting Florida, according to a local report. MIT stands for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, not Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
"A woman attempting to vote in West Boca Raton this morning was initially prohibited from entering the polling place because she was wearing a tee shirt with the letters MIT," BocaNewsNow.com reports.

Well, being as this was in Boca, and the shirt wearer probably originated in Mass., she was likely an 0bamao voter.

an election supervisor at the polling place ultimately realized that MIT stands for Massachusetts Institute of Technology a school where students tend to know how to spell

M.I.T. is an elite technical school — it attracts top students from everywhere. Engineering students tend to be a lot more conservative than liberal arts students. I’d downgrade your “probably” to a “possibly”.

I wore my FUBO shirt. Nobody said a thing.

Harvard students can't count, MIT students can't read

Poll workers should have to demonstrate that they can “fog” a mirror before allowing them to work there.

Engineering students tend to be a lot more conservative than liberal arts students because they have to work with the real world as opposed to dream fairy land.

From yesterday:
http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2012/11/05/Fla-mayor-irked-by-poor-pronunciations/UPI-71371352151257/
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 5 (UPI) — The mayor of Boca Raton, Fla., says her desire to hear people properly pronounce her city’s name may lead to slapping an “e” at the end.
Boca Raton Mayor Susan Whelchel said she cringes when she hears someone pronounce “Raton” as if it rhymes with “baton” instead of “ra-tone,” the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Monday. An ordinance in 1982 attempting to halt the mispronunciations failed to pass.

Yep. Also, the math requires mental discipline — OTOH, Post Modern literary criticism (for instance) requires a certain level of detachment from reality. Actually, it requires a complete denial of the concept of “reality”.

MIT stands for Massachusetts Institute of Technology a school where students tend to know how to spell and how to build lasers that can vaporize idiots.
