Thanks to intrepid investigative reporting — notably by Bret Baier and Catherine Herridge at Fox News, Aaron Klein at WND.com and Clare Lopez at RadicalIslam.org — and information developed by congressional investigators, the mystery is beginning to unravel with regard to what happened that night and the reason for the subsequent, clumsy official cover-up now known as Benghazigate

The evidence suggests that the Obama administration has not simply been engaging, legitimating, enriching and emboldening Islamists who have taken over or are ascendant in much of the Middle East. Starting in March 2011, when American diplomat J. Christopher Stevens was designated the liaison to the “opposition” in Libya, the Obama administration has been arming them, including jihadists like Abdelhakim Belhadj, leader of the al Qaeda franchise known as the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group.

Fox News has chronicled how the Al Entisar, a Libyan-flagged vessel carrying 400 tons of cargo, docked on Sept. 6 in the Turkish port of Iskenderun. It reportedly supplied both humanitarian assistance and arms — including deadly SA-7 man-portable surface-to-air missiles — apparently destined for Islamists, again including al Qaeda elements, in Syria.

What cries out for further investigation — and debate in the remaining days of this presidential election — is whether this shipment was part of a larger covert Obama effort to transfer weapons to our enemies that could make the Iran-Contra scandal, to say nothing of Operation Fast and Furious, pale by comparison.

The purpose of them starting the 911 was an inside job theory, was to obfuscate that 911 was facilitated by people inside the US government. Why were none of those people prosecuted ?

Let us assume that this is correct, why would al Queda do something which would destroy this pipeline? This is what collapses this theory for me.

Now it does appear to me to be true that someone wanted Stevens dead for some reason.
1- requests for more security were declined;
2- security on the spot was actually REDUCED;
3- armed drones patrolling Libyan chemical weapons depots were withdrawn from their normal 24-7 actions;
4- there had been two prior terror attacks on the compound;
5- after an unsuccessful assassination attempt the British Ambassador was withdrawn from Benghazi;
6- security evaluation was screaming for more;
7- Stevens was sent into this cesspool without a chance.

When the ex-SEALS decided to act against the chain of command things got derailed.

Either the idea was to set up a kidnap-release scenario or creating a Gay Hero Martyr either for the benefit of The Disaster’s Campaign. This was about the only way they could win.

No. This theory has been posted every now and then for over the last month by quite a few. Would have to spend some time investigating and searching to see who first posted the theory. And then investigate why that person came up with the theory. That is how I would run a proper investigation, but there is a little something else going on today that we should be spending time on.

If they wanted to kidnap Stevens, a simple road block would have worked. They would not have attacked a Mission with a known safe room. The primary purpose of the attack appears to be taking down the Obama/Hillary regimes covert gun running into Libya through Turkey. Stevens had just had a meeting with Turkish officials a couple of hours earlier that day.

If they wanted Stevens dead, the attackers would not have left him alive. And if they wanted to kidnap him, they would have apprehended him while he was still alive and then continued to act as if he was still alive.

And just so you know, personally believe that Osama Bin Laden was already dead when they raided his home (kidney/liver failure). They killed a stooge, otherwise his wife would have died trying to protect him. So I believe some deal was made with Al Qeada. Let Obama appear as if he killed Osama, and they would get something in return. Like for example, all the weapons they need in Syria.

So I am willing to believe the Stevens was an insider job gone wrong theory, but we need the motives and facts to match the theory.

I think the attackers wanted inside the compound. Lots of documents and computers with asset lists, equipment locations, names/locations of operatives, upcoming plans, etc. The Amb may have been the primary target, but the second would most likely have been the data/info in the compound.

I have thought that myself. However, I think looking for a deep explanation for the attack is over thinking it. Al Qaeda chased out the Brits, Red Cross and all other westerners. I see no reason to think they wanted anything more than to humiliate the U.S. and chase us out. They did get a load of intel but IMO that was a happenstance bonus.
