Post your Michigan morning voting observations here!!
We're particularly interested in the dem district turnout, e.g., Detroit, etc.
District 3 west Michigan. Heavy turnout you can count on west Michigan going for Romney. Detroit always tells the story. I believe Michigan goes red today.
I was thinking of pressing charges at where I went to vote at 6:15 this morning in Martinsville IN, it was humiliating.
I was harassed by the little old lady working the books, being told that I should be ashamed that my license was two weeks expired and told to get my lazy butt up and get it renewed.
THEN I was sexually harassed while waiting in line when one of the republican clerks came up and goosed me while waiting for a machine to open up.
*sigh* No one took me seriously when I complained to the judge working the polling place though, I was forced to confess the old lady was my mom and the worker was my wife, he just put a sticker on me and pointed to the door.
Just got back from voting. northern lower michigan...was told that its a larger turnout than ever before seen.

I was #31, got to my station (Ingham County, 4th ward/25 precinct) right before 7am. Have been past a few times today, line hasn’t grown longer but is consistently out the door. Some people this morning were vocally supportive of Romney, extremely rare for downtown Lansing.
Happy birthday!
Collecting ballots from the local graveyards, I think.
Was around number 350 when I voted during lunch hour in a strongly Dem precinct. I was checking my old e-mail to see if I’d mentioned what number voter I was in 2008, but couldn’t find anything. In 2008 I did note that I had to wait 15 minutes to vote due to the massive turnout, even during lunch hour. This year I didn’t have to wait at all, most of the machines were in use, but no wait (again, this is a Democrat precinct).
Bump (Obama over the head)
Was voter 468 at 2PM is southern Warren, heavy Dem area, forgot what number I was 4 years ago. About a five minute wait.
I just voted in Drbn. The poll volunteers were all commenting about the large turnout. It looks like about 3x the number of voters they usually see...
Grand Rapids here again.
Just got back from voting in my hippie/OWS district.
Not a bad line. The room was small, so it was too tight for my taste, but things went smoothly. Room was full of the usual dopes that would be friends with zero on Twitter.
I was in and out pretty quick. 2004 was a 50 minute wait in a room full of Holder’s people and college kids.
But here is the kicker. It was about 3:30 and I was only one of 700 people that voted! That is huge!
Where I live is full of apartments and college kids along with the usual DNC types. The Obama HQ from 2008 that was a hive of people back then was no more than a couple of streets over! If only that many people have voted, I can assume that Romney must have at least 200 votes at least. It’s lefty, but not San Francisco. I was floored seeing this. The turnout isnt here just like I thought.
My co-worker, that lives in the more conservative NE side of town told me their place was packed at dawn. Totally loving Mitt’s chances in the mitten.
Bonus: One voter made a joke asking is any of those U.N. guys showed up. Loved it! I’m counting him as a Mitt guy.

Not 2004. Was supposed to be 2008.
Heavy turnout in strong republican Ottawa county.
Husband, freeper AshfieldK, is in line now—outside of the polling station. Our precinct has been out the door since 7am—I drove past several times on errands and it has been one, steady, looong line. Lib stronghold, unfortunately
Hastings Township, hit the polling place about 5:00 PM.
Not much of a line, but the voting stations were all full; they were just managing to keep-up.
Hey, great!
I used to live in Overisel, south of Holland for the “uitlanders” who don't know Dutchland...
