Palin Endorses Romney... Sort Of..
ABC News ^ | 11/5/12

With less than 24 hours to go until Election Day, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin endorsed Mitt Romney.

After remaining silent for months, Palin made her case for the GOP ticket in a Facebook posting, arguing that Romney "deserves a chance to lead."

......

In contrast, her former running mate, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has been a tireless advocate for Romney.

Palin's support has been more tepid. While shying away from officially using the word "endorse," Palin has made it known that she stands with her party. According to recent filings with the Federal Election Commission, Palin's political action committee donated $5,000 to the Romney campaign on Oct. 31.

Palin: "If this go-around you don’t know who you dislike more or like more, Romney or Obama — this go-around, give Romney a shot."

"if you don't know who you dislike more??? Romney or Obama" In comparison, here is how she endorsed Cruz in Texas:

“We’re proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.” “Your conservative principles, passionate defense of our Constitution and our free market system come at a time when these cornerstones of our freedom and prosperity are under attack,” Governor Palin added. “Our shared goal isn’t just to change the majority in control of the Senate, but to assure principled conservatives like you are there to fight for us.”

I think that is why they referred to this as "sort of" an endorsement.

THAT was from MONTHS back. I have been using THAT link for MONTHS to ping her list.

Try reading her Face Book endorsement, which I also linked.

You said: “She made her endorsement clear and has all along”

The quote you posted to back up your claim sounded like the high school cheerleader telling you the night before the dance, “I don’t know if I would hate going to the prom worse with him or with you. But I will go with you.”

On the other hand, Palin’s endorsement of Cruz was clear.’

I think we can all agree that her “endorsement” of Romney was late and.... weak.

The Palin endorsement has been the most important endorsement in America for 4 years, only an idiot or a party hack would try to call that the kiss of death.

Palin has helped reshape many primaries into conservative victories with many dozens of victories.

To me, this is probably a difficult task because some of our evangelical brothers and sisters believe Mormons are a sect, therefore, not Christians.

It is a falsehood to separate Evangelicals.

ALL Christian denominations agree that Mormonism is not Christian, the Roman Catholic church, the Greek Orthodox, Mainline Protestants, and Evangelical Protestants. ALL!

If you are a Christian who belongs to a church, then your church agrees as well.

Palin has clearly and formally supported Romney since he won the nomination, as a conservative she has maintained a certain amount of distance, which is called for.

Romney and his Rockefeller wing of the GOP did snub her and the tea party at the convention.

Congratulations to Mitt Romney on his choice of Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate. President Obama has declared that this election is about “two fundamentally different visions” for America. Goodness, he’s got that right. Our country cannot afford four more years of Barack Obama’s fundamentally flawed vision. We must now look to this new team, the Romney/Ryan ticket, to provide an alternate vision of an America that is fiscally responsible, strong, and prosperous – an America that understands and is proud of her exceptional place in the world and will respect those who fight to secure that exceptionalism, which includes keeping our promises to our veterans.
(snip)
Please continue to focus on the presidential race and on helping Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, but it’s also imperative that we get involved in the nation’s important House and Senate races. These candidates need our help to ensure that our next president has a responsible and ethical Congress that actually gets things done for America. Now on to November!””*

My wife and I just literally finished praying for Mitt Romney. We have been praying for weeks now that the people's eyes would open to the evil in the WH and we would turn from our wicked ways. My problem with Mitt is he is a Mormon. He isn't an evil man, as a matter of fact, most Mormons are kind, helpful, patriotic, ect. The problem is that he is misled. If he can be fooled into the Mormon cult, it shows that the Holy Spirit is not his conscience. Just as we pray for our children and family to have the Holy Spirit come into their hearts, we, as Christians must pray that our leaders be led in the same way. As a man, he may try to force himself to do good and be good, but without God, he will always fail. If and when he is in the WH at 3am being told our country in is danger, I want the supernatural to be in charge because a man will buckle almost every time. As governor, He was the same man he is now. He was an observant Mormon that didn't drink coffee or cokes, I feel sure he was true to his wife, I'm sure he was a trustworthy man that meant what he said. But he was pro abortion. IMHO, the consensus in liberal Mass was too much for him to guard his soul and his thoughts against. The Bible tells us "You will know them by their fruit" and killing babies should shout what is in their hearts. If Mitt can be tossed back and forth depending on where he is and what day it is, I have to wonder what he will do at 3am with missiles on their way. Will he take a poll and decide killing babies isn't so bad? Will he decide people having sex with feces doesn't sound so bad? We can always justify our actions if we have no core.

Now I'm not saying I voted for Obama. I'm just saying that Mitt needs an encounter with the True Vine, The Way, The King, The true Lord, and I am praying for that encounter. I prayed for GW Bush, and even Clinton. As you can see, Clinton is talking about getting caught in cookie jars and accusing Romney of not telling the truth. Can he say these things without repentance? We all watched him lie on TV and get impeached, yet he feels he did nothing wrong. A lost person is absolutely blind and deaf and it is most dangerous to have one in the WH.

Just as an aside, in the recent past we saw Obama supporters chant "OBAMA!, OBAMA!, OBAMA!, while McCain supporters chant "USA!, USA!, USA!" I'm sure Obama supporters are disappointed in what has transpired in the last 4 years. To have faith in Romney to do the right thing is useless if he doesn't know the right thing.

To fix our country, we need to pray for our leaders, pray for our country, and pray for revival in the land. If we had revival, we would not need to worry about what leaders would be selected and what they would do. We would select the right leaders and they would know what the Will of God was for our country. I think most people are tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Sarah Palin on FaceBook

August 11

Congratulations to Mitt Romney on his choice of Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate. President Obama has declared that this election is about “two fundamentally different visions” for America. Goodness, he’s got that right. Our country cannot afford four more years of Barack Obama’s fundamentally flawed vision. We must now look to this new team, the Romney/Ryan ticket, to provide an alternate vision of an America that is fiscally responsible, strong, and prosperous – an America that understands and is proud of her exceptional place in the world and will respect those who fight to secure that exceptionalism, which includes keeping our promises to our veterans. ...

... Candidate Obama promised us a “fundamentally transformed” America, and that is the only promise he’s delivered on. We can see now what his idea of “hope” is. Now we want change. He has failed to lead, so We the People must lead. And our leadership starts at the ballot box on November 6th.

Please continue to focus on the presidential race and on helping Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, but it’s also imperative that we get involved in the nation’s important House and Senate races. These candidates need our help to ensure that our next president has a responsible and ethical Congress that actually gets things done for America. Now on to November!

First of all, compare Palin’s statement about the Romney/Ryan ticket to the endorsements she has given countless others. One is very forceful and definite. Her Romney endorsement hardly mentioned his name. Her mantra was always, “Anybody but Obama.”

As a matter of fact, I remember people here bragging that Palin did NOT give her full throated endorsement to Mitt Romney...

“Glad she didn’t do it... she would lose her credibility... Plus he will blame her if he loses.....But I hope Romney picks her for VP....”

And many people were asking if she was going to speak at convention. Of course my question was always: .... why should Romney allow anyone to speak at the convention who had not endorsed him? What would she have said at Romney’s convention? “Now join me in working hard to elect Anybody But Obama!”

Sarah Palin has made many high profile endorsements.... she knows how to do it and how to fake it.

And let’s not pretend. This was weak.... and very late.

And don’t get me wrong. I like Sarah Palin.

She has found her niche and I think she is happy in it.

Cheers.

Now let’s hope for some good news tonight.

So far her niche is being one of the most influential politicians in America, the top endorsement of either party, and the leader of the conservative, Reagan wing of the GOP.

No, by all accounts, Mitt Romney has proven that in his personal life, he is a very good man.

“as a matter of fact, most Mormons are kind, helpful, patriotic, ect.”

Mormon’s are so good in fact, that even on DU there have been opinion threads asking if they were going to trash the Mormons. And overwhelmingly those at DU shot that idea down. The reason that was given time and time again was that some time in each of their lives a Mormon had treated them with respect and kindness.

This is something you’re echoing too.

“The Bible tells us “You will know them by their fruit” “

” it shows that the Holy Spirit is not his conscience.”

You can’t have it both ways. A man can’t serve two masters.

Is it your assertion that these people spend their lives showing love and respect to others and it’s the devil that’s teaching them this?

Random acts of following Christ’s will proves nothing. A life time of good says that the Holy Spirit is guiding them.

Chuckles, the devil teaches people to be suspicious, contentious. unkind, to say mean things, to shun others, to hate, to insult, etc...

Mitt Romney, like a lot of people are not “Pro” abortion, but they are pro free will. God’s first instruction to Adam, “Choose for thyself...”
Mitt Romney has never killed a baby. Mitt has thought better of that position, just like Ronald Reagan did.

I believe that Saul of the Bible really did see Christ and after that he became Paul. I believe that through God people can change.

Rush Limbaugh said today that “Mitt and Ann Romney are good wholesome people.” No man gets to “good and wholesome” without Jesus Christ.

Just a thought.

What influence does she wield exactly? What exactly does she lead?

I think you're confusing her with Paul Ryan.

Unless you tuned out in November of 2008, then you should have noticed that starting that very same month, Palin took the reins of leadership of the Reagan wing of the GOP, and started helping win reelections in December of that year, she then helped conservatives to historic gains in 2010, and again led us to moving many offices right, in this years primaries.

Mitt Romney’s veep candidate is one thing, but Palin is the leader of the right wing of the party, and still the most influential endorsement of either party.

I think that you are confused about Ryan, he is not exactly the Reagan like, charismatic, movement leader, that is why he is just a valued conservative, among many.

The war between the Romney/Rockefeller rinos and the Palin/Reagan conservatives, will continue.

Mormonism is disapproved of over there as well.

Mitt Romney has never killed a baby. Mitt has thought better of that position, just like Ronald Reagan did.

As a public salesman and promoter of abortion, Bishop Romney's hands are bloody. Romney has been pro-abortion all of his life, has spoke passionately and feelingly for it, from the heart, fund raised for it, donated to it, and since winning the nomination, he has returned to his pro-abortion position, and rejected the republican, pro-life platform.

Reagan was never pro-abortion, and was always pro-life, including in 1967.

Although having stated already that he became committed to being pro-abortion in 1963, Mitt has campaigned on this moving tribute to his pro-abortion commitment, and to his loving mother.

*""“I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country; I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a U.S. Senate candidate,” Romney said""*
