One of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's (R) advisers denied a report that the governor turned down an invitation by Mitt Romney to appear at an event with him on Tuesday.
Christie Adviser Bill Palatucci denied a report in The Huffington Post on Monday which said that Christie turned down an invitation by Romney to appear at a campaign event on Tuesday, according to CNN.
Asked by CNN if Christie had been invited to appear at the event in Morrisville, a suburb of Philadelphia, PA, Palatucci told CNN "no."

Probably too busy filming an Obama campaign add.
I have been wondering why someone from Romney’s campaign was talking to Huffpo the night before the election.
The Romney campaign told him that there weren’t going to be any Pizza hut big meals.
It doesn’t make sense that Romney would invite him in the first place considering Christie is up to his eyes post hurricaine.
Christie, you have issues obviously
Christie has always been an ass, but he is kissing up for Fed Dollars.
NJ got hosed on NCLB.

This is media fabricated BS. Christie has “a full plate” (pun intended) of storm related problems and can’t leave NJ.
I don’t think Romney wants to touch the Big Baloney with a 10 foot pole at the moment...why bring up the former Kodak moment again for Obama.
Christie is such a dweeb. Down many notches thanks to his bizarre shenanigans just before this huge election.
I don’t think Romney asked him and I don’t think it’s appropriate for christie to go while his state is a shambles depending on a dysfunctional FEWMA to arrive. But I also don’t think it was appropriate for Christie to be humping Obamas leg on national tv. But that’s just me.
I think that Baccalla is having a nervous breakdown. Considering what’s happened and he’s on point, I couldn’t blame him. At least he didn’t steal 1.6 billion.
>> It doesnt make sense that Romney would invite him in the first place considering Christie is up to his eyes post hurricaine.
Yep.
I’m furious with Christie, but blaming him for this is silly. Romney has considerably more class and good judgment than to even ask him under the circumstances.
Anyway, it would be dumb politics to have Christie stump for him while Christie’s home state is suffering. I think they call it “bad optics”.
There is something going on between Christie and Romney. Not sure what it is.
Please read the article, Christie was never saked by Romney to attend the Sunday rally.
Huffpo and other media outlets are saying Christie was asked but turned the Romney campaign down.
Again, he was never asked!
Why wouldnt he expect even more aid from Romney on Jan. 22? Why kiss up except to hurt Romney?
He’s still butthurt because he wasn’t picked as VP.
>> Christie to be humping Obamas leg on national tv
ROFL! The visual is funny, if gross.
I believe this, because I can’t believe Romney would have invited Christie to the event. As I said in another thread — any appearance by Christie would have been spun by the national media into an Attack on Romney for the devastation in New Jersey.
There was no way Romney, this close to winning, would take a chance of letting the national media make a story about Christie abandoning his state in a crisis for politics for Romney.
Of course, “not doing something” can also be turned into a national story, apparently, especially when the “Huffington Post” can pretend to be a news outlet and make up whatever they want.
