Romneys crowds are building28,000 in Morrisville, Pa., last night; 30,000 in West Chester, Ohio, Friday It isnt only a triumph of advance planning: People came, they got through security and waited for hours in the cold. His rallies look like rallies now, not enactments. In some new way hes caught his stride. He looks happy and grateful. His closing speech has been positive, future-looking, sweetly patriotic. His closing ads are sharpthe one about whats going on at the rallies is moving.
All the vibrations are right. A person who is helping him who is not a longtime Romneyite told me, yesterday: I joined because I was anti ObamaIm a patriot, Ill join up But now I am pro-Romney. Why? Ive spent time with him and I care about him and admire him. Hes a genuinely good man. Looking at the crowds on TV, hearing them chant Three more days and Two more daysit feels like a lot of Republicans have gone from anti-Obama to pro-Romney.
Something old is roaring back. One of the Romney campaigns surrogates, who appeared at a rally with him the other night, spoke of the intensity and joy of the crowd I worked the rope line, people wouldnt let go of my hand. It startled him. A former political figure whos been in Ohio told me this morning something is moving with evangelicals, other church-going Protestants and religious Catholics. He said whats happening with them is quiet, unreported and spreading: They really want Romney now, theyll go out and vote, the election has taken on a new importance to them.
There is no denying the Republicans have the passion now, the enthusiasm. The Democrats do not. Independents are breaking for Romney.

The Champagne (Champaigne!?) is in the cooler.
Predicting an uncorking at 8:05 EST tomorrow evening.
For a lift I just watch the Romney at Red Rocks clip.
It fires me up...

I am buying my champagne tonight! I have a good feeling about this.
: )
Without Christie’s abhorrent stunt, this one would be a slam dunk.
I honestly hope he never wins another election as long as he lives.
In between photo ops...
Wow, first it was fringe Dick Morris, then Main Stream Barone, yesterday it was pessimist George Will, and finally it is “Jump on the Bandwagon” Noonon. Things are looking good.
:^o
You may be right. I think it was tight already, and his comments didn’t help, but probably didn’t hurt that much either.
I think he screwed up, but he had been going all day and had a lot of constituents dead or in very serious trouble.
I’ll cut him some slack.
I haven’t been a big fan of him for the last six months or so. He didn’t strike me as a bedrock Conservative.
I’m all for “Morning in Amerca”.
This is coming from Peggy Noonan, who has had her lips pressed firmly on Obama’s behind for 4 years now..she is calling this election for Romney its because she KNOWS its in the bag for Romney
In honor of Mitt’s ability to appeal to a full spectrum of voters, I wil have a fresh pot of coffee. It didn’t escape my attention that the media has spoken to coffee manufacturers and coffee shops who wonder if Mitt will take away their businesses because he’s Mormon. They stop at nothing. They’re nuts.
Power? One should be prepared to provide one's own for a week or two.
IMO, it's him being dressed up, and it wasn't for Halloween.
New pajama tops..., lookin' good Barry. Dream on...
Really fills that thing out doesn't he. /s
I agree.
Water
Food
Power
The area didn’t look that bad, but I’ll bet there’s a lot more water damage than what we can see.
I am putting together a play list of songs for Wednesday morning (if things go well). So far I have:
“Zippety Doo Dah” (from Disney’s song of the south)
“Oh What a Beautiful Morning” from Oklahoma
“Hit the Road Jack (Barack)” Ray Charles
“Celebrate” Kool and the Gang
Wednesday, it's back to the job search, and I hope and pray that businesses will start hiring again with the threat of an Obama administration gone.
Providing for yourself and your near neighbors is the history of America.
