Four and a half years ago at a primary campaign rally for Barack Obama, Stevie Wonder made headlines when he sang this major scale with Michelle Obama for a packed house at UCLA

Today, the "Superstition" singer performed at an Obama get-out-the-vote rally on another college campus, but the atmosphere was slightly less electric. From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

And not all of the less-than-200 were there because of Barack Obama. As one attendee told the Plain Dealer, "How do you pass up a chance to see Stevie Wonder?"
What a difference a failed administration makes.

By now, even the Royal Oaf should be able to tell that the enthusiasm for him this election is somewhat diminished from the last one.
Alice Cooper’s family used to be Mormon.
Mitt should’ve had him perform at a rally.
“Stuffy old Republicans” my arse.
;D
Steve must’ve seen red when looking at such a sparse audience.
Stevie Wonder is said to have piloted his private jet to the rally.
Ebony and irony.
At least he didn’t have to see it...
For that matter, I think I recall that James Hetfield of Metallica came from a mormon family...
Is that true, metal heads out there?
Obamugabe to Stevie: “The stadium is overflowing with people!”
Stevie to Obamugabe: “You don’t look black to me!”
The phenomenon is that darn few want to cozy up to an obvious loser. This landslide could grow into a tsunami by Tuesday.
If you want to see a good black, blind, performer endorsing a candidate go to Youtube and watch Ray Charles sing “America” at the 1984 (maybe 80?) RNC.
According to Wiki, Hetfield’s parents were ‘strict’ - something knows as “Christian Scientists”.
Stevie to Obamugabe: “I can’t sing for you tonight. I have an eye problem. I can’t see playing to your empty a$$ stadium.”
My husband says he was brought up a Christian Scientist.
If people are coming to see Stevie Wonder and Katy Perry, that’s all you need to know about the parlous state of the Obama Campaign.
Its walking dead. Tuesday should be a blowout.
Somewhat a tangent.
Anyone know if ray Charles played live
for Reagan or did he give permission
To use his recorded music?
I know it was one of those. Can’t remember.
From an analysis of the song “The God That Failed”;
My understanding is that this song has to do with Hetfield’s parent’s religion. They’re Christian Scientists who do not believe in doctors or hospitals, but instead that God will heal you.
But Alice has the bonafides
Cooper was born as Vincent Damon Furnier in Detroit, Michigan, USA, the son of Ella Mae (née McCart) and Ether Moroni Furnier.
His father was a lay preacher in the Church of Jesus Christ (also known as the Bickertonite Church) which, historically, is a branch of the Latter Day Saint movement.
He has French Huguenot, Sioux Native American, English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry, and was named after one of his uncles (Vincent Collier Furnier) and the writer Damon Runyon.
His paternal grandfather, Thurman Sylvester Furnier, was an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ (Bickertonite). Vincent Furnier was active in his church at the ages of 11 and 12.
[c’mon Alice...The fool’s out, forever!]
Stevie Wonder? That top singer?
Did they also have Harry Belafonte and the bananas?
