Christie has ceded power to the unions.

What a lightweight(no pun intended).

The next time disaster strikes a union state, the residents there will be at the mercy of the union vultures because help from non-union states won’t waste their time and money for nothing. At least the union thugs will be happy with the overtime pay as they stretch out the job for weeks and weeks.

Another reason to live in the South or Southwest.

Several days ago, the Hannity radio show had some clips of the union thugs ‘razzing’ the out of state folks. It was really disgusting. They were calling them scabs, scubbags, etc. These outsiders came to help; but the union guys were ‘afraid of them taking food out of their families mouth’ and on and on...

The unions are smelling big money from “Sandy” and they want to make sure THEY get ALL of it.

It’s hard to feel sorry for the people of NJ when help gets sent away because they don’t wear the union label. Maybe they should consider passing right to work laws...

When the out-of-state utility/road crews came here to TX after our hurricane, we treated them like heroes! They worked their bloomin’ tails off, and endured long hours of work in truly brutal temps, and slept in pup-tents in local parks. And, in reciprocal fashion, TX sent caravans of our guys out to other states when needed, from LA to FL to MO to wherever.

This thuggish giving of the middle-finger and telling volunteers to basically “get lost” is just mind-bogglingly incomprehensible to me. Not the America I know. Maybe typical of Obama-voting blue states, I suppose. It really infuriates me and makes me want these people to stew in their own mess. But I’m inherently sympathetic to the victims, because I’ve been through the same miserable situation, living for four weeks with no power, no water and no gas, and eating cold cereal and cold food out of cans. But damn, kicking out utility crews who came hundreds of miles to help? Worthless bastards. I hope every one of those union thugs who kicked out those crews has their house burn down, and with them inside.

Just as well they were turned away ... Governor Krispy Kreme can sign all of the emergency orders he wants allowing these men to work ... but we all know what the unions do to scab workers ... and their trucks ... and their equipment ... and the motels they stay in!

This is insanity.

You can’t go and help out after a disaster without paying union bribes?

fine, if they want to do that then don’t help them. I think West Virginia still needs help, but nobody in the media wants to talk about anything but NY-NJ

Unions = Democrats = Ersatz caring

Think any of the people (voters) suffering in NY are capable of making the connection? They can’t use their food stamp cards until there is power. Think poetic irony.

Wake me when the MSNBC hacks are expressing righteous indignation *on the air* regarding the union’s despicable behavior. That will happen right after the segment exposing Obama’s cowardly abandonment of our AMBASSADOR and other AMERICANS in Benghazi.

What happened to Obama’s vow to cut through the red tape and get the job done? Guess he didn’t mean it, big surprise...

There seems to be a parallel with SS-Sandy and H-Katrina, i.e., lots of unconfirmed stories/rumors coming out of the chaos and misery.

The facts regarding the AL utility crew -
1. 1 crew of 6 members from the Huntsville, AL area (how many trucks?).
2. They assembled in VA at a staging area attempting to reach someone in NJ to proceed.
3. Someone (hasn't been confirmed who) pesented them IBEW documents implying they would have to sign with the union before working in NJ.
4. They said no and returned to AL.
5. Now the story is that the IBEW documents came from some outfit in AL called the Alabama Electric ______. (How were they delivered to this crew?)

Maybe we will get the whole story eventually.

My dad was in the IBEW.

His experiences led us to realize that unions are for the unions, not the workers. What happens to the workers is a lot less important than the union itself.

This silliness about joining does not surprise me.

Just saw about 30 Georgia Power trucks on I287 headed towards Westchester about 45 minutes ago. Hopefully they won’t get hassled.

If they do the National Guard should be ordered to arrest the union thugs on the spot for disrupting emergency relief efforts.
