Sorry Jeb, your younger brother pretty much ended the Bush dynasty once and for all. I will NOT vote for another Bush again. Not because I am against Bush, no, but because there are plenty of others who can do the job and we really do not need this family name in the POTUS anymore.

The only time I want to hear or read the word “Bush”, from now on, is in a sexually-oriented situation.

The Bushes, among other big government Republicans, ruined the GOP and everything Reagan did for it. If there’s a reason more people aren’t registered Republican it’s because of them.

Texas could be three or four blue states before too long:

As somebody said, though, they'd all have "Texas" somewhere in the state's name (or "Tejas" for the new border state).

Oh... and I am certain that jeb can change that as long as we agree to merge with mexico and make all mexicans into American citizens with super minority status.

For those of you who doubt this as just the ravings of a lunatic fringe called Jeb Bush... don’t discount it.

Texas is being overrun by people from all over the country in search of jobs and lower taxes. Lots from Kalifornia fleeing the loons and bringing their own brand of lunacy. Add to that lots of tags from the NE showing up. Add to that the invasion of the latinos.

Texas is changing and FAST. I do not doubt the prediction that it will turn blue one day not too far from now if not in 2016. The United States and any hope of a conservative majority is quickly coming to an end. The tipping point is almost here and if Romney wins it will just be a delaying action. I don’t think the facts that are driven by demographics and the dole can be changed.

I don’t know about 4 years but I think it will eventually be democrat. Between liberals fleeing the mess they’ve created here in the north and illegals invading from the south, I think its inevitable.

To all you California bashers, this is what happened to California. He is probably right and this will happen to yet more states.

You cheap labor republicans are going to find out that cheap labor isn’t so cheap in the end.

Europe did away with “automatic citizenship at birth” years ago because they saw the damage it did to their societies.Even Ireland,a country that had a strong love for her “diaspora”,did away with it...same reason. We're basically the only *civilized* nation on earth that still has it and it *will* kill us eventually.Bush is very probably right about Texas, but his timeline is wrong however. It won't happen in ‘16 but it will happen in the lifetime of most of us.And when Texas goes Rat this nation is truly scr**ed.

Jeb is laying the groundwork for his son...

The hispanic George Bush has been busy in Texas establishing himself a network of politicos. Scoff at your own peril...the kid has ambitions.

demographics ARE moving towards the rat infestation...

the big question though is WHY?

why would new immigrants want failed fiscal policy, no opportunities, no high end jobs, no future?....

poor roads?...poorer schools?...unfit teachers?....forced homosexuality teaching in grade schools?...

the new illegals or immigrants don't know it but their best chance in life is a strong industrious country with multiple job opportunities...

we have to convince them of that....

Rubio and other well spoken Hispanics could do that for us...

Between the illegals invading from the south and the libs invading from the west and northeast, JEB might be far off. I used to know every one of my neighbors within a mile or two. Out here in nowhere, we’ve been invaded by wacky libs so I try not to know any of them. Do y’all realize that Texas gained 4 electoral votes this time? FOUR! That didn’t come from us birthin’ a bunch of babies but from outsiders moving in.

I am a native Texan. Anything is possible with our leaky borders. Don’t forget it is not just Mexicans coming here through Mexico. Other illegals get in that way, too.

I have a very dear family friend (whose parents are Mexican heritage and legal citizens), she has lived here all her life, and her adult children are all conservatives. I think she is independent. She raised 3 children as a single mom, taking jobs wherever she could in catering, etc. She would not be caught dead taking gov’t assistance. One time her home burned down, and I think she may have gotten help then. She amazes me.
Well this may seem racist, but I think the Mexicans at least have a work ethic and are family centered Christians. I would suffer that any day as opposed to Muslims that want Shariah law.
Most (Mexican) illegals come here to work, then send their money back home to take care of their families. Yes they burden our system and are probably going to vote democrat....but are they LIBERAL? I think some of them may have too much macho pride to continue with taking handouts. They may also be turned into conservatives at some point. They are not stupid.
I guess my question would be: Who wouldn’t want to go to any means possible to take care of their family? They go where the jobs are..however menial they be. (Jobs other people of all races would not touch.) Who wouldn’t want to get medical attention here?
These people are desperate for a better life and the shortcut is to come here illegally. Our goal should be to offer them another avenue to come here legally so they can contribute legally. They should come here, work and pay taxes like the rest of us. I think perhaps the only entitlement they feel is that Texas was stolen from them and we should allow them to be here.
As conservatives, I think we also have to be concerned about with the Austin fruits and nuts, universities teaching liberalism, and general influx of liberals moving here from all over the country.
