New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spoke Friday afternoon and said the state was inching closer to normalcy following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy.
But things seemed far from normal after the governor issued a gas rationing system to ease the strain several hours later.
Starting at noon Saturday, New Jersey will move to an odd-even gas rationing system in 12 counties.
Christie ordered the odd-even system to help ease fuel shortages and extended lines for gasoline that have occurred since the superstorm decimated the coast earlier this week.
Residents with license plates ending in an odd number can make gas purchases on odd-numbered days. Residents with plates ending in an even number will be able to buy gas on even-numbered days, the governor said.

Yeah, they had a Yellowstone knockoff in Anaheim too. Pretty cool actually.
I'll assume the CAL part of your name refers to California, meaning you really have no idea what it's like here in NJ. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and not instantly suggest you change your name to cal-idiot -

If this is folding like a little girl, I'd hate to meet the little girls you know.
Argumentum ad hominem by the way. Look it up. calling me names does not make your point.
You can make an argument either way - I've watched Christie in the buildup and I've watched him in the aftermath. A lot of people criticized him for being nice to Obama - he needed him to release federal aid, what was he supposed to do? Tell him "No thanks, we got it covered"?
Christie hasn't suger-coated this, and any mis-steps he may have made I'll attribute to the same failing the rest of us suffered - no frame of reference. We've never seen anything like this here, none of us could have imagined the damage. But overall, I think he's done a terrific job and shown a lot of leadership.
Sorry for the cal-idiot remark, but it doesn't change the fact that you live 3000 miles from here and you see what's covered, you really don't know what life on the ground here is like. I live right here on the coastline, I'm seeing it every day. BTW, Christie's odd\even gas rationing went into effect over the weekend and the gas situation has improved dramatically. The grocery stores that have power are starting to get more supplies and things are slowly improving. None of these things would have happened without Christie.
Try to be concise. I could only endure one paragraph of your blather.
In retrospect, I was too hasty with my apology. Concise enough?
Still love your Communist-hugging gov?
