SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NEW JERSEY - The hurricane-ravaged east coast has been receiving north Alabama help, but crews from Huntsville Utilities learned they'll be doing work in Long Island, New York instead of in New Jersey.
Crews from Huntsville, as well as Decatur Utilities and Joe Wheeler out of Trinity headed up there this week, but Derrick Moore, one of the Decatur workers, said they were told by crews in New Jersey that they can't do any work there since they're not union employees.

“Many of them went back home. You are all losing their services!!!”
Yes. I heard that they left NJ and went over to Long Island after the NJ unions ran them off; then I heard that the LI unions ran them off, and then they just left. . and WHO CAN BLAME THEM?!! This is the most IGNORANT dilly-dallying I’ve ever heard of - except maybe Bloomberg going ahead with the Marathon in the face of this DISASTER! (Some common sense would be nice for a change!) I understand there were local people checked into the NY hotels after they lost their homes; but were run off to make room for the Marathon big shots.. also, a few huge generators were hooked up to run Marathon stuff instead of the 400 homes they could have powered otherwise. - This is the result of electing unwise “leaders” of the corrupt Democrat Socialist Party.
