CBS News has learned that during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Obama Administration did not convene its top interagency counterterrorism resource: the Counterterrorism Security Group, (CSG).

That's because Barry had already determined that it could not possibly have been terrorism and, so, did not require such a meeting.

Perhaps it’s just semantics, but there is a big difference between “not needed” and “stand down”. I think Obama has room to play here.

In fact, just saw tweet worded:

“US officials to @AP: No delays in rescue effort in Libya; team never told to stand down http://bit.ly/VGC0wZ";
