Following in the footsteps of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced on CNBC Thursday that he is endorsing President Barack Obama for re-election.
Schultz's endorsement is surprising, given his vocal abstinence from politics this election cycle. In August 2011, Schultz called for a halt on campaign donations until both parties found common ground on the country's long-term fiscal issues.

Now that endorsement is going to make me vote Bambi for sure...../s
:-)
Wawa has better coffee.
“Shouldnt Bloomberg be castigating Schultz for the fatty high calorie starbucks lattes anyway? It is nothing but a gathering place these days for the unemployed 16%.”
It’s not about health. Ordinary people drink Coke so it’s bad. Hipsters drink starbucks and it’s OK because they are smarter than us and believe in global warming.
Ordinary people smoke cigarettes so we must kick it out. Hipsters who smoke marijuana obviously know what they are doing so we’re for more marijuana kiosks.
LOL. I swear Starbucks is the worst “coffee house” coffee
I ever tasted. It actually made me nauseous : )
Try Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The owners are conservative, and the coffee is excellent.
Dittos. I drink my coffee black. Starbucks coffee is over-roasted and burnt. I believe they do it because so many drink it with 4-5 additives, and they need to have a coffee taste come through.
Best to find a local coffee shop that roasts their own beans.
Its to easy and much cheaper to make your own coffee drinks.
Well, I guess that will help lock up those conservative hipster votes. All 4 of them.
No peppermint mochas for me this holiday season. 8-(
Yes, Starbucks accepts EPT cards for cold drinks and food products.
“The Fox News 12 investigation revealed that food stamp recipients were using the funds to buy things like Frappaccinos and pumpkin bread from a branch of Starbucks in Salem, Oregon. A spokesperson for the Safeway store in Salem where the foot stamps were accepted in Starbucks, told Fox News the store made the change as an added convenience to customers and that the register at the store considers the purchase a grocery item, and, as long as its cold, it can be purchased with food stamps.
Never spent a dime at SB ; never will .
oh I know why he’s for Obama. aha! Romney doesn’t drink coffee!

I;ve only had Starbucks once. I thought the same thing - it’s burnt.
no surprise
he has tried to mobolize Starbucks & it’s customers into a “community organizing” apparatus
Starbucks won’t get another dollar from me.
I’m never going in a Starbucks again. NEVER!
Some things never change . . the sissy boys in high school usually flocked together too.
Further proof that business and politics don’t mix well, for liberal socialists.
I occasionally bought an overpriced coffee drink, as a convenience buy treat a few years ago.
I personally don’t have enough disposable income to waste on that kind of “treat” anymore.
Starbucks, meet Blockbuster Video.
In the real world of consumer retail, niche markets for luxury item purchases often fail “suddenly” when they become to big, in their own minds, to fail.
I love Starbucks coffee (I’m NOT a coffee connoisseur, so don’t bite!), but I am going to boycott them from now on.
