The “liberated” Libya government putting an Al Qaeda guy in charge of security in Benghazi should have given everybody a clue as to what was around the corner. The fox was guarding that henhouse - literally.

With “friends” like that, who needs enemies?

And it sounds like Sean and Ambassador Stevens both knew they weren’t safe being there.
