On the 29th, one of my contacts said:
Been doing tracert to FR from command prompt. To which he added today:
Interesting results.
The problem is NOT FR's servers.
It's the internet backbone itself.
It's as if traffic to FR and other sites that have been
critical of Dear Leader has been... helped.
DemUn was rather fast last I was able to check. Now isn't that a remarkable coinky-dink?
Just as my site (nachumlist) was attacked the day before the first convention. Just a coincidence I'm sure.
Just wait until next Tuesday, we may have no internet service at all. Just sayin’...
traceroutes look fairly normal with consistent ping times
any slow down seems to be on the server and not the network
Not denial of service, just a slooooooooooooooowing of service...........
All the hops between PSI and NTT are Afrinic nodes.
I checked for the 154 designation and lo and behold:
It's Mauritius, the huge banking center.
Since we are having a Freepathon, I was wondering if they might be up to no good. Another reason might be that we have been following Benghazi so closely, but the slowdown started before that, didn't it?

Perhaps that episode with the FBI and the internet last summery was a practice run for shutting down some sites.
