In yet another triumph for Obama’s support of the Arab Spring, Saad al-Katatni, the newly elected chairman of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhoods political wing, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), has called for the institution of Sharia law. The FJP is the majority party in the Egyptian parliament.
Katatny was quoted as saying that The Muslim Brotherhood established the [FJP] to represent the Brotherhoods political project, which, in the end, will be a wise government that will institute Islamic Sharia law.
When combined with other statements by FJP it bodes ill for the strategic situation in the Middle East and speaks to the general fecklessness of the Obama regime’s policy in the region.
Last week Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Muhammad Badie called on Muslims worldwide to liberate Jerusalem by means of jihad.
According to AFP, in his weekly message to supporters, Badie asserted that The jihad for the recovery of Jerusalem is a duty for all Muslims, stressing that the citys conquest will not be done through negotiations or at the United Nations.
The Obama regime has succeeded in undermining all the success made in the Middle East since the Camp David Accords and has consciously decided to turn the Mediterranean rim over to jihadists. One presumes there is some strategic vision there but one is hard pressed to describe it.
Also known as “Tuesday.”
Since this was foreseen and easily predictable, my conclusion is that this administration intended this to happen.
Absolutely. We know MB has visited the WH.
We didn’t sing Kumbaya loud enough!
I always though Egypt made a lot of money off tourism. I would say anyone stupid enough to visit Egypt after it is taken over by Sharia law would have to be an idiot.
It should not be called “Arab spring.” They say “Arab” when they mean something else. “Arab” is not the problem. There are a lot of Christian Arabs who don’t need a spring.
Finally an October surprise/s
who did not see this coming?
“The Obama regime has succeeded in undermining all the success made in the Middle East since the Camp David Accords and has consciously decided to turn the Mediterranean rim over to jihadists. One presumes there is some strategic vision there but one is hard pressed to describe it.”
First a question; WHAT SUCCESS since Camp David Accords is being discussed here?
Secondly another, but rhetorical question, and that’s did America open the gates in 2008, and foolishly cheer the arrival of a Trojan Horse? The results seem to indicate as much.
I agree that Obama was a Trojan horse.
I’ve always wondered if Begin felt that Camp David was a step in the right direction or a threat by Carter.
It was always doomed because it originated in an agreement inherently detrimental to Israel.
“Ive always wondered if Begin felt that Camp David was a step in the right direction or a threat by Carter.”
Perhaps a hedge to procure some time to see if opportunity would arise for peace, but surely Menachem Began knew it was typical Liberal duplicity.
“I always though Egypt made a lot of money off tourism. I would say anyone stupid enough to visit Egypt after it is taken over by Sharia law would have to be an idiot.”
There will be no reason to visit Egypt as the Muslim Brotherhood has made it clear that they intend to destroy all of Egypt’s antiquities as an affront to their prophet(pigs be upon him). One of them fairly recently said that the destruction of the pyramids is on their list of things-to-do.
Destroying the pyramids would take a lot of work, I doubt any of these lazy murderering decapitating poofers has the energy for it.
“Destroying the pyramids would take a lot of work, I doubt any of these lazy murderering decapitating poofers has the energy for it.”
Fill the royal chambers with explosives, seal up the entrances, and detonate. No more pyramids.
They could save themselves all that work by just declaring them to be mosques....like they did with the Hagia Sophia.
